Longest movie that you've seen?
As the title says, the longest movie you've seen?
You tell the movie that you've seen that is the longest one and also say something about the movie.
I will tell the longest one I've seen, you can also see my movies down below as an example on how and what to post! But you can deffo post even more about the movie if you want to!
[blockquote]I'm attempting right now to see "Sátántangó" from 1994 wich is 7 hours and 30 minutes long. So far I've seen around 3 hours and I must say that the movie is great, really, but get boring sometimes. The first hour I thought that this is great but how can they get this to be an almost 8 hour long movie, but now 2 hours later I think they easily can fill the rest hours I've got left to watch with good footage.
Rating: N/A
IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111341/?ref_=sr_1[/blockquote]
Now to the longest movie I've seen since I ain't finished with "Sátántangó".
[blockquote]The longest movie I've so far is "Gone With The Wind" from 1939, wich is 4 hours long. I had to take a pause each hour to get out and smoke! Well, I thought the movie was really great. It never got boring decpite the length. I really recommend this one.
Rating: 4/5

This thread is not about "winning" since I'm quite fond with quite long movies and how they actually gets the whole movie intresting with such length. It's all about sharing.
Some of the Godfathers I guess.
cant remember the longest one ive watched but i guess it was close to 4hours long
Mysteries of Lisbon (2010)
272 mins
Rating:8/10
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1236371/
The story is amazingly epic but told in a very simply plain way, meanwhile the images are very soft, which makes it very enjoyable to watch. but it still took me a few days to finish it :p
other long movies like "Apocalypse Now" and "Gandhi"
and that must be Godfather 2 (200 mins ), shock.
for those who are interested in the real long movies, there are two famous ones:
Empire (1964) IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0196530/
this movie lasts 485 mins but has only one shot:Empire State Building. that's right, the whole 8 hours is about this building.it's directed by Andy Warhol.
The Cure for Insomnia(1987) IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0284020
it's about someone reading poems for 87 hours.

Have you seen the entire thing? Shit man, great job! And I knew you would post in this thread eventually :D
once upon a time in america, that movie was long for me
since u guys already mentionned 'gone with the wind' and 'once upon a time in america' which are the two longest movies i've watched, i will go with :
'A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies'
here u can find more info(225min) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112120/
its basically a documentary flick in which Scorsese talks about the films that made him the director we all know. very informative, i'd recommend it.
im not huge fan of these long ass movies though. i got bored very fast. i feel like they're not able to deliver whatever they want to share with the audience in a "short" time. thats meh

I watched the whole thing now and I must say the first half of the film was great (the 4 first hours) and then it became to much and scene's become quite boring. But deffo worth watching! I put the rating 3/5 depressed Hungarians.
"True blood", I'm on 2nd season right now and so far there were no inbetween skips while episodes transitions. All ser is like one huge film that has been cut into pieces.
The Dark Knight & The Dark Knight Rises are the longest i've seen... Dark Knight Rises was WAY TOO LONG.
