If I must choose good game with good storyline on PC.

Planescape Torment
Arcanum
The cat lady (recent indie game )
The walking dead ( big surprise to me)
To the moon ( more a story than a game)
Bioshock infinite (considered like overrated but was really enjoyable)

And some indie game with great gameplay ( but no story for the most )

Super Meat boy
Binding of isaac
Super hexagon
Spacechem ( for big brain )
Hotline miami (decent story too)
FEZ
Treasure adventure game ( look like a simple flash game at first, but worth a try )
Cloudberry kingdom

Have you ever played Mafia 1? Top game forever personally and nothing will ever beat it, tiptop storyline even better than in Mafia. It is very old so do not expect great graphic but trust me you will not even think about design while playing.

i can guarantee you i dont give shit about graphics :P
some of my favorite games is Broken sword 1-2 from like ~95-98

some interesting titles that have poped up here that i havent been thinking about, dno which one to start with tho

Start AC when you are done with some games, AC requires at least a month to beat them all (with an intensive geek)

never enjoyed the AC games, every game feels pretty much like the last one

That's because you are not into the story itself, you can start by playing AC 4, but if you don't play since the first, is like having anal without having regular sex first :D AC is good but it requires lots of brain to understand the story and things, it's an hard game imo, hardest games in 2k and I guess it will always be one of hardest games, but, if you don't like it, I totally respect it, I am about to try Far Cry 1, 2 and 3 later, not sure how good it is, but I saw pretty good opinions about it, I am sure you will like Dead Island too, at least, I did :)
