g400s after g400
In light of the recent proliferation of mouse talks here is my effort. Bought my g400s for the cheapest price I could find in my vicinity for 40 bucks certificated and with 3 years guarantee granted. Unpacked it just an hour or two ago and have kinda mixed feelings after g400. First thing that instantly caught my attention is the scroll weight that feels much heavier than g400's. Perhaps even too heavy to the point where I felt tired scrolling after10 minutes on synergy_x where your bhop is in constant use. Maybe it's just a matter of time untill I can get used to it, time will tell but for now it doesn't feel very well in bhop regards, especially that along with the new mouse I get more frequent fails in bhops which I didn't have before.
The good thing though is that my strafes efficienty has raised really signitificantly, noticed that as soon as I made my first strafes. I don't know if 400dpi of difference can really make such a big differense or if it's caused by anything else but I can clearly feel differense in longjumping as well as in regular climbing and strafing inbetweeing bhop blocks, I just jump farther :)
What I thought is longjumpers are who can benefit from this mouse though. It has well-defined scrolling feel which can be quite profitable in double ducking and summing it up with 4000dpi or whatever pushes your efficienty, you get a good trousseau to make difference.
What else.. shape or anything esle doesn't feel different, I think they didn't change anything else, just the surface that feels more "rubberish" rather "steelish", feels fine. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm mistaken but it seemed like the mouse was a little bit higher than the g400 but I may be mistaken, couldn't find anything on internet regarding g400's sizes.
Besides kz, I played quake and it felt just as good as with g400, no difference that I could make out. Only real difference you can make out in is kz imo. In all fairness, from kz perspectives it's good and bad, perhaps I should give it some time until I can get used to it and give it a last word. It's certainly a good gaming mouse though, you should probably give it a shot if you're into longjumping, doubleducking and such.
Hope it's of any use for anyone out here, peace :)
tldr?
g400s suck imo, problems with it the first day i got it... if i scroll up it sometimes scrolls back down automatically and fucks up the runs by spamming duck in the air, never gotten this mad while playing as i have with this crappy mouse.
anyone knows why they stopped with g400? feels like its the same story as g5, it gets popular and then they suddenly makes a "improved version" which is million times worse and then stops selling the first one, how stupid are they?
I already pay for maybe some of the last copies of g400 here in Bulgaria. I check on maybe 10,15 websites for g400, but they dont have available. I expect the last company to deliver it to me. I have seen only pictures of g400s until now... I don't have any idea how she works and what kind of problems have. Anyways, I like more g400 so I hope to grab mine these days :)

well its close to be the perfect mouse for kz, not saying it is but it has everything you want. try to bhop with a zowie ec2, it's impossible, almost like bhopping with space.
It isn't that bad, yes it sometimes scrolls down automatically, but i kinda got used to it. I still have the original g400 and it works fine, so if this one brakes, i'll have a replacement already :D
I think the "S" series may be used to fix some problems. Many players got g400 mouse for some months, it disconnects with the PC frequently(a big problem for gamers). I dont sure that g400s' wire is better, but the one g400s i got 7 months before is still working(much better than the g400's 4 months life).
g400s is more expensive than g400. Logitech loves money so much.

Oh kayne, How long have you been using that mouse? Because I started having that problem a few months after I bought my kinzu, and now its pretty much not at all scrolling, how much ever I try. I tried cleaning the wheel and all software stuff. Weird thing is that my backup Logitech M100 is also having the same problem. So I guess its a PC related issue for this, probably some voltage prob.
Had that self-jumping issue since years, I can safely say I had it on all mice I ever had during kz. I assumed that g400s' tough scroll will resist it but I guess I was wrong :/
:o Thank god. I thought I was the only person who had that problem. Nice to know that I'm not alone :3
So, what is the best gaming mouse?

best gaming mouse can really not be chosen since it always comes down to personal preferance.
To really point out the best one you would have to go for the one with the best sensor.
mice like deathadder 2013 and the newer zowie mice have really good precise sensors
