Welcome to the Installation Guide for Kreedz Climbing 1.2!

First of all, you need to download the full Kreedz Climbing 1.2 Installer.
You can find it on the Download Center of XJ or in my dropbox (1,3gb).

Once you have downloaded Kreedz_Climbing_1.2, click the .exe and start the installation.

When you the see the window above and have made sure you are installing into the sourcemods folder, click install. This process will take some time because the game is over 3 Gb in size. When it is finished a prompt appears for you to restart steam. Once Steam is back up Kreedz Climbing 1.2 should be in your Steam Games Library list as the picture below shows you.

To run Kreedz Climbing properly you will need the correct Engine files.
Click the "All Games" tab as shown below and select Tools.

Locate the Source SDK Base 2006 entry, and install that by simply double-clicking it.

After the download is finished, Click the Tools tab and select “All Games” or "Installed" and double click Kreedz Climbing 1.2 to play it.

If the download of Source SDK Base 2006 is not finished yet, you will see the following window.
Tick the "Launch game as soon as its ready" prompt. When that is finished, enjoy the game!

Once you are in game there is an option to start the tutorial but we advise you to check 2 options panels prior to doing that. Check through the Options/Keyboard settings so you know what is possible to bind in the game for your keyboard. Those who do not do this will be missing some rather important shortcuts. After you have your binds all set, check through the Advanced Options and see all the very special options for the game itself, and finally go to Customize Climber to choose your "weapon", player model, crosshair etc.
At this point, if you are truely new to the game it would be a good idea to then choose Tutorial from the main menu.

If there are any problems or unexpected errors, check out Soulfather's stream showing how to install KZMod and explaining the most common steam errors. You can find the links below.

Oh, I though you have to download KZMod 1.0, extract it in steamapps/sourcemods , then download KZMod 1.2 patch, install it in the same directory, after that download source sdk 2006 and enjoy the game;) Correct me if I'm wrong ( PS: it doesn't matter if you download source sdk 2006 at first or kzmod stuff)

The 1.2 installer includes the 1.0 and 1.2 patch, so you just have to install that one instead of the "complicated" old way.
You are right about the rest, but it's also all written in this tutorial^^

If thats true because I honestly dont remember, we should remove the 1.0.rar from downloads to stop any confusion

Z0ck3rOO709/02/2014 17:48

Remember: 1.2 patch =! 1.2 installer, in the xj download center there is only the 1.2 patch!! The 1.2 installer is only available at the dropbox link, until some xj admin adds it to the download center and removes the 1.0 installer + 1.2 patch!!

ohhhh and no i dont remember ;)

There are already people who tried downloading your 1.2 full installer and failed getting it. So i got confused.

I was wondering something soulfather, pure interest. How low can the minimumspecs go down compared to 1.6 ?

Twize[k]11/02/2014 10:14

in my 7-8 years old computer it worked fine tho
spec on this was:
cpu: intel pentium (something) 2.8ghz
video: nvidia geforce 7600gs
ram: 3gb ddr2

The full 1.2 installer is added to the download center and 1.0 + 1.2 patch have been removed.

Thanks to — for the fast upload!! ;)

I unzipped the old 1.0 file in sourcemods and then installed the old 1.2 exe should I have everything in place?
