Demo release
Almost 1 month without release,wow new administration,new records,negative ones...
Demo releases are the most important thing why I and probably most of us are visiting this site.And by not doing them you are killing kz.
p.s What's the point of having a guy who was caught 4-5 times for cheating as a demo admin if he even don't want to do once a week release?
Release should be every week, even if there 1 dem.

Due to the trash most of you guys threw at our demo admin kayne he will be retiring. We are currently in search of a new demo admin.

I didn't accuse kayne for anything,he was caught several times for cheating,isn't he?And we all know that you made him a demo admin just because there was nobody else for that place...
And now after he got so many ,,new chances'' he is fucking around and not doing one thing for xj in return.

Well first of all appointing a former cheater as a demo admin should have never happened. People have their right to express their opinion.

I still think that the real problem that XJ has are the MAP releases ..and why do I say such a thing ? Because people get boored to play the same maps over and over again and in my mind THIS is the only reason that is so little activity when it comes to "World Records". But imagine if we have like 30 maps released / year ..that means activity, at least in my eyes...If the pro's lost the motivation to record ..no problem new players will come and fight for the new maps that are released ( if there are like 30 maps or more). On a scale that consists in (really bad maps , bad maps , average maps, good maps , SUPER DUPER ULTRA INSANE MAPS) i really hope that XJ starts to accept not only those SUPER DUPER ULTRA INSANE maps but good maps aswell...and regarding demo admins problem... I am a member on XJ for like 6 or 7 years now..and I saw few members that helped the comunity and they still do right now and never tryed to cheat or do stupid things or spam the chat with useless things or some random bad things.

And again we go back to the ancient subject...demo releases....and map releases...
I don't know the insights of the problems that cause these delays, but all that talk about how there will be more demo releases (no matter what number of demos are submited) and more map releases.... Well, you can see the results, which are....basicly towards 0.
The cups are great, they cause alot of activity (compared to what it was before them), but they're not the main attraction of kz.
I'll launch some suggestions: maps contests, more often, more "prochallenges", and results will come. Making one map challenge and expect to see lots of maps submited (like the last map challenge) isn't a good way to make things happen (as you can see mappers were skeptical and there were only a number of 5 maps submited if im' not mistaking). In my opinion more challenges, more people join in.

But speaking of experience as an ex-demo admin for 1 year and a half, there's a difference between being willing to help when you're not admin and having to do something as an admin.
Managing demo checking takes more time than you think and is a real pain in the ass. Do not underestimate the task, really.
Except for thopa, I think it worked great when we were 2 demo admins, sharing the tasks, this might be something to consider imo.

however it was still a silly idea imo to make kayne demo admin, considering he's never actually been taught anything or given any good tools to use since eDark would simply never trust him for obvious reasons, however i suppose i will get part of the blame for that for quitting no matter how valid a reason it was to quit. i still gave you some names to approach about demo admins and i still think you should approach those people.
P.S fame's thread was true, he had illegal speed (not sidespeed) so naturally you either have to remove the demo for an illegal plugin which caused this (i doubt this would happen by accident though.) or you have to ban him for cheating.
