I'm really glad someone is still taking care of these things :)

KarLi mapper08/05/2014 20:16

Glad you liked it :) will do more similar things like that very soon!

Keo mapper08/05/2014 20:39

hm, try to verify the textures too. Most are not seamless (water texs, walls, ground).

KarLi mapper08/05/2014 21:03

Well thats all i've got mate , hopefully next texture pack will have with most of them seamless.

daza mapper08/05/2014 21:29

its actually not that hard to make seamless textures.... :)

bluemagic mapper08/05/2014 22:01

Are those photorealistic? just wondering

KarLi mapper08/05/2014 22:08

No mate they are from a game named MuOnline , so i doubt that they are realistic , maybe few look like ;D

bluemagic mapper08/05/2014 22:29

ok, neat. Good job for doing this pack, its so hard to find fresh textures =)

KarLi mapper08/05/2014 22:30

i am glad you liked it , will do more ofcourse :)

KarLi mapper03/06/2014 23:12

Hello, I have noticed some of these textures are 512*512 resolution, which is too high for counter-strike to render properly. Textures that are above 256*256 pixels, such as 512*512 or 1024*1024 are actually quite unstable and if used in big amounts it might actually crash your map entirely.

I have instead downscaled the textures in BD_SWD.wad to 256*256 pixels.

Use this file instead, or risk your map crashing.

512*512 is the maximum what you can use in goldsource. also never had any problems using a lot of 512*512 textures in maps, apart from memory consumption.

jaguar couldnt open his map, using the bigger textures from this pack.

Thanks a lot. My hammer seem not to be crashing but it's way easier to work with small scaled textured in hammer. The originals are just too large for me to browse through.

No, it won't have problems rendering, the only issue you'll get is that will take more memory.

spr1n mapper29/06/2014 14:58

sn00p is right, textures alone don't cause such problems. However in combination with other severe issues that stress memory it may cause "last drop to spill a full bucket" effect; so jaguar should troubleshoot this issue closely rather than leave it to doubtful temporary fix if he wants to contunie working on his map.

I think you guys are right, regarding the textures, however using 512*512 textures are just asking for trouble if you ask me. Case closed!
