go start > systemsteuerung (system control ) > sound und audioeinstellungen (sound and audio devices , i think :D) than click audio and under soundwiedergabe (standard devices) than systemleistung (system performance or so ) and turn the 2 things off than ok and u will get more fps :D i get 800fps more on de_train 3200 fps @ ct base and over 4000 with that trick . but the sound comes 0.2 seconds or so later in game thats the detriment but i can life with it . so now with pics

timerefresh
0.071899 seconds (1780.264856 fps)

no 4000 fps there:D but im sure it helps:D

T3dbundy11/03/2007 00:03

a friend had 2000 fps there without this low soundsettings and with 2800 i had 3200 without and with 3800-4200 dont know i can just say it works for me :D

edit : btw i think that works better with a soundcard dont tested it with a sound on board

hm...

first of all what kind of fps is this.. cause usually we talk about max. fps 100 (101)
so how u can have fps 3000

second thing is i tried it out and i get this

] timerefresh
0.377350 seconds (339.207764 fps)

at de_train only 340fps :/

T3dbundy11/03/2007 13:30

(CPU2) Intel® Core™2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHz @ 2666MHz ( EVGA 122-CK-NF68 mainboard) (RAM) 4GB, 2.24GB free (HDDs) 530GB, 506GB free (VGA1) NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX [NGOHQ.com] (768MB), 1280x1024x32, 100Hz (OS) Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (SP2), 11h 49m 56s uptime, 11h 49m 56s uptime record

KNiFEAR11/03/2007 13:51

hmm, similar 2 mine, but u've got better cpu clock frequency, i've got a conroe 2,4 ghz and geforce7950gt 256mb gfxcard :X:D tho i need 2 switch back 2 my other monitor/buy a new, cuz this1 can only handle 60hz:Dsuxx:D

T3dbundy11/03/2007 14:08

than play with 640x480 but without tft :D
i play with 1280x1024 only

fischauge11/03/2007 14:30

i get a increase of ~300fps

screen

my hardware:
Intel Core 2 duo E6300 @ 3.15 ghz
7900gs with 512mb

and im using the onboard soundchip :p

KNiFEAR11/03/2007 16:23

if i try timerefresh with res 640x480 I aswell as fischauge get a increase of ~300fps:D but 640x480 suxxl:D

LoL u guys got über computers!
I only got AMD athlon 3700+ clocked to 4600+,
1GB RAM, Geforce 7900GTS, DFI Lanparty PCI-E Ultra-D motherboard. o.O

T3dbundy12/03/2007 04:06

well the best graphiccard for cs is the 6800 ultra with an p4 3,8 u would get over 5000fps maybe 6000 when u overclock your cpu tho 4,5 a friend has a special cs 1.6 driver for his 6800ultra and he got more frames than me ! with 8800gtx in cs. new cards arent allways better for old games :D just cpu is important

Volsfootball15/03/2007 01:12

lol, i dont think i can ever get over 100 fps, my comp is about 7~8 yrs old.

CelebratioN15/03/2007 14:43
