IMO
Most [gaming] mice will not affect your strafes all that much anyway, no matter if it's optical or laser unless the sensor is particularly bad. you can't really swap from a Steelseries Sensei to a DA for example and improve your LJ. it just shouldn't happen unless there is a massive weight difference or something. but bhop/cj timing you definitely can with a scroll wheel that will net you more inputs in the same amount of time vs. your old mouse.
have used a DA for years, after my mouse5 button has been broken for a few months now i got a g500s. the scroll is looser and after a week my bhop timing is SLIGHTLY better, apart from that everything is the same. also i have to re-learn cj/dcj pre because many times i am getting 2 +duck inputs when i scroll up instead of one which loses you speed, because the DA scroll was much stiffer and required more force to push up. I guess what i am trying to say is there is always adjustments to a new mouse and i think you can become strong in KZ with a whole range of mice if you put in the time, as long as they don't have some problem like the intellimouse bug.

so you owned a mouse for 5 years and got nothing else to compare it to? No wonder it's the best in your eyes ;) It's what i felt like too, the DA was first gaming mouse i bought back in 2006 and in these 8 years i have only had to replace it twice. Now i have a new mouse i can really tell that there are surely many others just as good -- or perhaps better !

there are other mice that are much better than the deathadder, but then we have deathadder 2013 which is a huge improvement on the old one :) only bad thing about it is that its not lefthanded.. yet.
but from all the mice ive had during 5years ive enjoyed the deathadder the most. and ive tried hmm lets see.. the g400, ACE edge3200, Zowie AM, deathadder left+righthand, razer taipan(truly a shit mouse with current sensor) and some other ones ive used when i was at friends. Comfort is the way to go

Depends on what you're capable of.
g5 is just better because of its scroll ... don't expect uber strafes, only perfect bhop.
Now I own g400s which is a really good mouse. Strafes are great, my bhop is quite good ... what do you want more?
thanks for answers guys, i do mostly bhop, but i wanna improve my strafes and lj, i've read a lot of ppl saying g5 it's the best for bhop but not for lj, i'm confused, which one to get g5 or g500,g400s or as he said g-Lp sensei xtd cone xtd maybe they are good?? and i have death adder goliathus mat control edition

if you like how the g400 or g500 feels, get it, if not, skip it and get something comfortable. IMO every gaming mouse is just as good for lj, everything is if you like it. Ive done big stats with all my mice
Getting something just because someone else likes it is stupid. I got the ACE edge3200 after hearing it was good but it was too big and really weird to hold so i gave it away 5months later.

hi boys, do you know how to set a hyperfast-scroll configuration with the g500s ? I have the LGS, which is basically a control panel for the mouse, I want to set a convenient configuration for the scroll wheel when I set it to hyperfast mode.
