Hi there guys.
At kz-scandinavia there going to be some new changes. The website is being rebuilt though kz-scandinavia needs one that is quite used to design, knows their way around photshop and webdesign in general. Are you the guy kz-scandinavia needs? Then you can send an admin application or send a private message to OFFBEAT. You can also send me a message and I will forward it to OFFBEAT.

Nice to see someone is taking care of kzsca. Hope it works out guys. Good luck!
one suggestion from me. don't use any cms. use zend2 and build everything from scratch. gl and if u want advices just hit me.
The idea is to make the site non-cms as soon as possible and make everything custom from scratch. But until then we need the design ready to make a smoother transition. I don't have time for logo designing and other needed pictures since i need to focus 100% on coding. That's when this topic got up-to-date, would love to get all the help i need so i will keep the guys that are helping and interested updated.
Also to the people who might be wondering why now and these changes. Well, they are very much needed and i haven't had any time because of work and boxing taking over more and more.
Feel free to contact me!

..why? e107 is rather shitty for most general-purpose websites but there's no need to re-invent the wheel.

You are right that re-inventing cms is rather unnecessary since there is alot of cms out there, the deal is... I feel I don't need most of the stuff and for me the e107 is really messy (system is okey, files are not). So I will try to configurate how I want it to be, not make a whole new cms. I was pretty unclear in my words but I mean customize things. Go over to object-oriented system and much less coding and more security checks.
e107 is really bad from every side. Rest of the CMSs like wordpress, drupal etc are also badly coded and without any proper adopted MVC or any other pattern. Such systems are full of exploits, it's hard to keep track on bugs and codes since all the code u write goes into one file which is a huge problem. Such code is usually called spaghetti code. Not to mention if you are going to write TDD on such code.
For example in Zend framework or Symfony there is no such thing and everything is 1000000 times better. Yes u will have to code all things like demo rls pages, forum chatbox etc from scratch, but it still better, because such frameworks deliver you a lot of fixes and best practices. Also there are alot of useful plugins which u can use.
@offbeat please, try to make the website responsive with fluid layout and not fixed one like the old design or XJ's design.

Fullscreen responsive design is the plan, you can help me whenever you can or want to. I always test drive my php codes. Beginning with MVC and frameworks sounds like a good idea. Only problem at the moment is learning zend or so to start out with, it's always my own object-oriented straight up until then.
I can only give you few advices about RWD like what you should focus and what not.
About TDD I would suggest to use only selenium tests (requires few tools like Java server which runs from the terminal and PHPUnit selenium package).
As for zend, it will take quite some time to learn because the framework is really complicated and huge. Yet, I still suggest that you switch to it. I can explain you more about the framework in Steam tonight ~8/9pm my time.
PS. If you are up, we can try building KZ framework based on zend. I can try to write a generator as well who will amke our lives times betters. :D
That was my thought when wanting to improve kz websites and focus 100% on object-oriented coding. I wanted to make some kind of system that kz websites can use, starting with kzsca :D. Problem is the time it takes to learn these damn frameworks, it makes our lives much easier though. The core classes for kz I can write for sure, without any problem.
I don't think I can be on then, i'm at work now and that's the only time I have internet and can reach steam at the moment. :/
