prestrafe is luck?
hey im new to kreedz however i spend entire day to prestrafe 235 units (without airstrafe) in kz_longjumps2
and i rarely succed i try everything to improve my prestrafe and i still stuck on 235 units any
every tip would be good tnx in advance
31/08/2014 09:13I think you mix things up. Prestrafe is the speed you obtain when moving on the ground. I find it hard to believe your max speed is 235, because you reach 250 jus by holding "w". Search on YouTube for longjump tutorial and you will understand what the basics are.

Anyway, go check some youtube videos, it's the simpliest way for you to learn.
yea checking youtube tutorials and other players' longjumps is your best way to learn. and prestrafe isnt luck, ofcourse getting a 277+ one is lol but once you can get it to be perfect you can do 275+ almost every time.
31/08/2014 09:37A good tip is to write /speed, and then just do the curved run, without jumping, an you will easily se how the curve should be done.

215 with a 250 prestrafe(assuming you are running and jumping straight; holding the W key)

31/08/2014 14:48A friend of mine managed to do ~240 constantly with 0 strafes, even tho the moved the mouse + A/D ... never understood how that is possible

Sync doesn't really matter as long as it's above 70. Just focus on keeping your strafes equal on airtime.

Oh well. Here are your 0.3 units.
Prestrafe a little better, Maxspeed a little worse, Gain on first strafe bigger on first jump, Airtime on last strafe way better than on second jump aswell as the gain on the last 2 strafes. Also third strafe better gain. And the first jump has a bit better airtimes on other strafes although not that big difference.
