I started this to assemble all of possibilities concerning render settings to create some kind of database regarding to editing/movie making. There is many movie makers that are still active in editing scene but there is also many that left the scene but are still here on XJ. This topic is about sharing your render settings so people who would like to begin with editing would be able to find possibilities that will be the best for them. That's what this topic is about.

What programs you use to edit a clip: Sony Vegas Pro

You prefer 30FPS or 60FPS clip. Explain why: I prefer 60fps because of smoothness that it gives to the clip. However it looks kinda fake, It's just too smooth. I edit kz run's and I think it's only good in this case.
To which format you render the edited clip: .avi
Do you use any other program to render a clip once again to different format. What programs is it and what are your settings: Yes I use Legion with automatic settings concerning audio and video.
What is your final render format: .mp4 with x264 codec

You prefer 30FPS or 60FPS clip. Explain why: I use 30fps because 60fps doesn't look good on cs even tho people started using it more and more,but i like 30fps better.
To which format you render the edited clip: .wmv
Do you use any other program to render a clip once again to different format. What programs is it and what are your settings: Original sony vegas .wmv settings from "6Mbps HD Video" preset
What is your final render format: .wmv,i used legion and x264 encoder by ajaX but .wmv works fine for me

With how many FPS you capture a game frames: This is where I want to talk more about since I see many newcomers do this mistake, do not record a video like in 400fps and hope it looks good in 60fps output cause it won't, it will be laggy, why? let's do the math 400/60 = 6,6....7, if it doesn't divide into an integer number your clip will be laggy, same goes for 30fps, be careful with this, say u record a clip in 300fps... 300/60 = 5, "5" is what I like to call a quality index, the bigger it is the smoother your clip will look. I am using 600fps for everyhting, rarely when it's a really short cam I use 300fps.

What programs you use to edit a clip: Vegas, After Effects, Cinema 4D

Do you use any other program to render a clip once again to different format. What programs is it and what are your settings: I mainly render out stuff out of vegas (the final clip I mean), and put it in After Effects for some sharpness or add some motion blur (if needed), all this is rendered out in .avi uncompressed, and after that I render it out once more in lazze's xencoder, it does give a bit of a quality increase, but not that much, I know that this program has been long gone out of the scene, so here I am bringing it to you https://www.mediafire.com/view/0okyvnrtbdnp557/XEN.rar

16/03/2015 18:26i would suggest to make the font "bold" to the questions such as "What is the brand of your graphic card" ...etc... It will be easier to spot what interests all who read this topic rather than searching where the question ends and where the answer begins.
Also, i find this topic interesting and the idea is good. Keep it up. I hope more people reply.

I will update this later, can't seem to open my controlpanel so I will fix that after I written this. Though I pretty much never change them. I use the same as I use for gaming.

What program you use to capture game frames:
I use Fraps.
Settings of program your capture frames with (regarding to video):
No special settings, I slow down the clip 4 times and then I record with fraps. And then I change the playback rate in vegas to 4 so I get the original speed. So I'm recording clips with 90 fps in fraps and when I do it this way the fps will be 4 x 90 = 360. So the fps on the clip will be 360 and you can use velocity quite well on fraps clips.
Here I will show some screenshots that will show what I'm trying to say.
The demo playback is slowed down 4 times:
(I know it's a csgo demo I used as an example but the same principle works in 1.6)

I know this is not the greatest way to render a cs-movie but it's easy, simple and quite effective. The quality may vary and the file size might get big.

Without a doubt I prefer 60fps clips. It looks so great for the eye I think, so smooth. Eyecandy at its very best!

I did a LOT of test to find the best quality settings and here is what I came up with, I'm pretty sure there are other and easier ways to do it, but mine is worth the effort :-)
