Keep getting redirected
Ok, i have this huge problem, i would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. I keep getting redirected to porn/ad websites randomly, like really random, on any website that i open, like now while typing this too it just comes randomly so i turned of the internet while typing this, its that annoying, i scanned my pc with my antivirus and i also used malwarebytes antimalware to scan but there were no virus/malware in my computer, the big thing i cant understand here is that these redirects are even happening on my wifi network, meaning it even happens when browsing on my phone using my wifi. I checked google and i saw some forums talking about router hijacking or something, so i resetted my router and changed its password, but the redirects are still occuring and im really starting to get frustrated now, i even deleted all my google chrome extensions just to make sure they are not the ones causing it. If someone have experienced this kind of problem before or knows the solution, please do reply.
14/04/2015 13:39I would most likely say it's a virus, or a malware which has set your browser to open those websites, or a setting which i guess could be placed somewhere on your pc and which opens the websites.
When you searched router hijacking, resetting it was the only option they gave you?
Also, it's very strange that your phone has the same problem, could it be you went on some weird website where you got the virus from?
On your pc, have you tried a restore point to an earlier time, or something similar?
yeah, only reset was the option, idk, it might be from one of the laptops from my network that got the malware cos im pretty decent with computers and i know i havent clicked on any link or opened a website which would make me prone to a virus attack of any kind. And no i havent tried a restore point or anything. Thats the weird problem when even my phone gets the redirects, just cant get my head around that. Since i've scanned my pc im sure its not from my pc and from my dad or my sisters pc, since they dont know a lot about these stuffs, ill scan theres and lets see where it leads me. I have not personally tried this software myself, but I hear good reviews. Give it a try and see if it helps you.

You probably have an adware, use this and it will hopefully find it and delete it.
I also recommend running CCleaner afterwards.

14/04/2015 20:56Try javascript off, try https websites and try adblock, see if that changes anything. Ideally you would wanna try to run a live OS or uncompromised system to make sure its your router/dns fault.
In case your router doing this, then simple restart is not enough - you need "hard reset" or even firmware update. also that malware most likely came from your PC when you logged into router, so you may wanna triple check your computer.

Ran AdwCleaner as even other forums suggested it, but there was not a single malware detected, but good news is I checked my sisters pc and there was a lotta malware, cos she likes to download pdf books, so I was kinda thinking the pdf's contain some virus/malware etc. Still doing a scan as of typing this, will be back with the results.

Thing is, these are not pop-up ads and all, they're real websites with useless ads and porn and other useless shit like bitcoins and all, I have adblock installed on all PC's atm. So i'm pretty sure that adblock doesn't have an impact on these site redirections.

I'll try to turn off java, haven't done that yet. I'm quite positive it's my router that has been infected due to a virus on my sisters laptop, and that it actually redirects on some sites even on my phone, which is a Windows Phone which normally doesn't have viruses, and I have hardly any app installed except whatsapp and facebook. But i'm still not clear, this is the first time i've encountered this virus/malware and it's proving really hard to deal with.
Oh and about the https websites, the redirect doesn't happen at all and I can browse freely on https websites like Facebook, all of Google sites, Twitter, etc.
same issue btw, but only in pc, scanned everything, downloaded this adwcleaner, it deleted some program called "dealpeak" but still getting redirected :D
