Advantage if you learn about the HL-engine or mapping?

Hey\r\n\r\nI'm thinking about creating a map and then I was wondering:\r\n\r\nDoes learning about the HL-engine or mapping give you any advantage for other things?\r\nLike, if you know how to model a map, does this give you an easier start into Cinema 4D or something?\r\n\r\n\r\nWhat are your opinions? #mappers #mathnerds
