question: BHJ bunnyhop jump

BHJ has to be performed on the edge of the block? i mean jumpoff = 0 or more like 1 or 2.
because i notice that when i jump to an edge on like jumpoff = 10 i get bad prestrafe most of the time, not always but more often than when i land on the edge in like jumpoff = 0 or 1

is there a tutorial well explained on this type of jump?. anyways i appreciate your interest. thanks

Bunnybhop jumps or standup bunnyhop jumps can be done with ~0 jof.
I feel you are new to Kreedz so please go to the tutorial section and learn the basic techniques of Kreedz. i.e. CS1.6(Dropdown Menu)->OTHER->TUTORIAL. Here all your doubts will be cleared I suppose. :)

also, can anybody explain BHOPS WHILE DUCKING , how to gain max speed? i think its totally normal now to do it, pressing W + D looking at left side...you need to take a centrain angle...but can anyone exlain it detailed? :)

i was trying bunnyhop jumps on the floor and on blocks.
on the floor i have the feeling that the only requirement is to press mwheeldown (jump) right at the moment when you hit the ground, and at the same time i do strafe left or right.
othercase i get slowdown with a text message that says that i pressed jump key before it's needed.

but when i try to do a block i have the feeling that i need to jump to the block's edge to have a prestrafe near to 299.

i think is needed to jump to the edge to not lose distance in the jump. i don't know if that makes to have a better pre

As far as I know, BJ/SBJ pre should be the same whether you jump close to the edge or not. Bhop isn't affected by edgefriction (losing speed as you are reaching the edge of a block higher than 70 units) so it should be the same if you get 0 or 10 jof. Maybe it's just a feeling you've got

@joca: do you mean like bhopping in vents and whatnot? Because you don't have to press W, just D, look slightly to the left and the engine will do it's thing. But you need to learn the right angle, which is between 15 and 30 degrees i think. Also, you can control the speed by just moving the mouse either left or right (kinda like sliding). But that takes practice and it's easy to learn.
