Update issues
I'm getting this when I try to update

I wanted to know where I could see the version number (to understand if it's up to date or not). Thanks
Hi, not sure what caused this, usually this happens when players manually change files that are under the svn control (such as under the readonlycontent folder or the internal files like kz.build and the dlls), but you should be able to fix the issue by deleting the two dlls, the build file and the changelog and re-running KZUpdate. Please try that and see if it helps!
Deleted and it updated successfully, but now it's instantly crashing when I start the game.
On a side note, noticed I had .mine and .r35 / .r38 files for each of those that weren't updating and deleted them too. Is that causing the issue ?
Hi, sorry for the slow response, it was right to delete those .r35 and .mine files, have you been editing or changing anything in the readonlycontent folder?
No, never touched anything in the installation folder. I remember having the crash problem way back when 2.0 came out. Don't really remember how I fixed it (it's been a while)
Edit: I still have 1.2 installed and it's working
Ok, run the game and let it crash, then go to the Steam\dumps folder, and upload the latest crash dump so I can get it, thanks!
Here you go https://www.sendspace.com/file/cq4uwu
Alright, it seems there is something wrong with your installation, does the readonlycontent\resource\kreedzclimbing_english.txt file exist?
Yes, it does
The more assured way to fix the game would be reinstalling to ensure nothing else is broken, but for now, just delete the readonlycontent\resource and readonlycontent\scripts folder and run KZUpdate, that should fix this particular crash at least.
Alright that fixed it. I'll take your advice though and reinstall to avoid future screw-ups.
Thanks a lot for your time and patience, Raptor. You're awesome!
No problem, glad things are working!
We'll be waiting for your demos, Gene.
Problem solved, closed.
