Removed timer at the end and didn't really want to put any text for the sake of emptiness in the frame. Usp's lightmap fully animated by hand.
wow amazing, didn't like the song choice, I'd have chosen something more exciting but definitely does the job, besides that is incredible
lovely, I really liked that loud ingame sound
nice work iNsprate, the water is so realistic and the songchoice is great, sets an incredible atmosphere.
that was really well done, naise
great job, looks good.
Thank you all.
Great movie there, iNsprate! I guess we're all tired of the same run clips from the frontpage, thats why we find these new and different ones more entertaining. People weren't too grateful in 2008-2010 when something similar came thru. (barely did anyway)
I'm gonna point out some pros/cons if thats ok :) I love reviewing edits.
First off, the beginning of the video is good, but the transition from the 2nd cam into the actual run was too random and sudden for me. I do get the idea that being unusual is better, but that's just sometimes. Why didn't you use "Summercliff"'s campaths? The whole "cave" part didn't give me any feeling as I was mainly focusing on the loud in-game sounds, which made it not have much relation with the background song. But, when the "outside" part began and the song begame louder + brighter colors, everything changed. I got the whole idea of the clip and you edited it perfectly, esp the whole slow transition from "cave-outside". The outro was good, but not really thought of. After the timer was stopped, the camera movement didnt move at all, but the water in the background. Great, but i think you should've made that whole scene play out more with a long ass fading into the black effect, FOLLOWED by the "Edited by iNsprate" text. The fact that the whole clip until the end has 0 texts kinda sets up a "mood"(or however you wanna call it) is something you wanna stick to. What I'm trying to say is that you should have went to full fade and only after that the text(s). Other than that, the colors were simple but great; shadows were so good, I wish the game would look like that.
Thanks for sharing it with us and I personally never knew why you liked this map so much, but after seeing "Summercliff" and this ... what can I say, you really showed us the beauty that YOU see.
