Hi! Here's a question for players who have macs or just know the system. I used to play kz on Windows quite a while ago. Now I have a Mac and want to resume. It seems there's smth wrong with longjumping on Mac and with straifing on the whole, as I my Sync's never gets more than 50%. Is there actually a problem or it's just me having lost my skill?:)

counter-strike performs identically on windows/mac/linux, however you may need to configure your input configuration, mouse related stuff etc. Systems have different mouse speed and acceleration profiles for example.

Well that's obvious. What confuses me is that even if i longjump with 1 strafe it's also no more than 50-60 sync anyway. Maybe there are some hidden settings on a mac itself?

Maybe it has to do with the hertz your mouse is using on Mac ?

Maybe your fps aswell or your screen's hertz... I don't know Macs but well, they're known for not being the best system to play on

try raw mouse input in cs settings. that may bypass osx configuration.

like I said your system handles input differently, if there are no enough options then you probably have to use 3rd party software to access "hidden settings"

+1 spr1n

Also, since OS X is a linux modified OS, try to find linux solutions if you don't find any solutions only for Mac.

i'm playing on mac aswell and had the same problem. It's a general problem, not just in cs. i downloaded the app SmoothMouse where you can set the mouse accerelation like in windows.

I had same problem, with some app (it wasn't really an app, it could be opened from terminal n shit) I was disabling mouse accel from os and everything was fine. I don't really remember that app, commands was killmouseaccel or something like that.

I found it http://osxdaily.com/2010/06/02/kill-os-x-mouse-acceleration-from-the-command-line/
