Importance of screen hz?

Hi guys!

Just wondering, how important is the monitors refresh rate according to you?
Do all the kz pros have 144/120hz or are there any good ones with 60/75 hz as well? Is it easier to strafe with higher hz?

It's quite an impression how the game as a whole can change just by switching the refresh rate, in my case from 60 to 100. It's more slowmo-ish and really smooth. If you are going for one you should know that the benq 2411 series cannot handle the stated 144hz in cs, just the 100hz, but it feels really cool. Don't know if that has to do with the game itself as I haven't really tested 144 anywhere else other than in cs.

60hz monitor here....... =(
Tried to play kz in fds' home,it is really much better and smoother... for plebs like me ,i hope i can buy a higher hz monitor..

Btw fyi pizza^ used to play on 60/75Hz and was still good and smooth.

agree'd of @hardbitter said, in my experience I have managed to get better/more stable bhops using 144 hz, moreover it makes the path more 'clear' when you do a run. definitely an advantage

I play on a custom kz server with 144hz and 300+ fps, and it is very smooth, I like it. But when I switch to default kz stuck at 100, it feels sluggish. I wish there was a workaround this to play default at 144hz.
Back before I bought the 144hz monitor, I had one that could to 75Hz. 75Hz was noticeable smother than 60hz.

I never had anything better than 60hz, but I imagine its somewhere near kzmod's smoothness. Playing 1.6 after kzmod on 60hz is a mood killer, so I'd say that "hz" is important (even tho I never experienced it directly).

Having 144 and using my bro's PC with 60 occasionally i can see difference even when browsing web. Once you try, you won't wanna go back
