Knife servers: jumping in circles without moving?

Hello there

Recently I played alot on russian knife servers and seen players doing this weird jump:

they stay at the same place without moving or strafing and jump circles. Their perspective/angle doesn't change either.

Does anybody know what it is called and how to do it?

Try making circle movements with your mouse while pressing the ALT button.
It works with ducks as well. Easier on 100aa ofc.

I guess I'm not a smart man... What exactly I have to do? I tried for an hour holding duck + continuesly jump and strafe in horizontal circles, but I've seen no effect. Is it visible from outside only?

What exactly is the difference to this method? Can you give me an example of what i should type in console?

Is this a bug/illegal technique btw?

By duck i was trying to say doubleducks, groundstrafing.

If the server uses 10aa settings dont try it with the other "duck".
Just try to do it while you are standing.

Oh it works well! I had a dif bind for alt so didn't realize it.

What a shady trick to use in knife fights lol
