The game crashes on loading a map after installing! Why?

This is because the game version in the installer is very out of date, and isn't compatible with the current engine version anymore. You must update the game by either:

Using the Update Kreedz Climbing link the installer made, or

Navigating to the install directory for the game (this is usually something like Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\SourceMods\KreedzClimbing) and running KZUpdate.bat.

Please note that it may take some time to complete the "Cleaning Updater SVN Directories" stage the first time the updater is run. This is expected, even though it doesn't appear to be doing anything, you can be sure something is happening. Please allow it to complete, subsequent runs will not take as long.

What the updater is actually doing during this long delay is re-indexing all the game files to determine what version you are running. This is behavior inherent to SVN and is essential for the updater to function.
