Does resolution matter?
Hi i wanna ask if resolutions matter.I personally think that they don't,but since i changed to 1920x1080@60hz from 1280x1024@75hz i think i became more bad so:
1.Can you give me your resolution(with HZ ofc)?
2.Can you give me your opinion?
Since i got a new monitor (had 4:3 before), 16:9 was unplayable and changed it to 1280x960 black bars 144hz. Imo game feels smoother and better overall with 4:3 resolution.
26/09/2016 14:59Doesn't matter, it's all placebo, like that guy who got "better bhops" after changing scroll line amount in Windows. I play at 1920x1080. You got worse probably because you're not used to it..
The only difference in performance would be if you have a stone age pc that can't keep constant 100 fps and you start to drop fps on higher resolutions.
playing 1280x960 stretched 144hz, 1280x960 just because my old computer wasn't enough good to handle better resolution, and now still playing with it even if i have better computer
btw my brother is playing with 60hz monitor, and for me it's unplayable
actually its all about the Hz, 100hz and 100hz+ monitors could reproduce real 100fps
yeah hz really matters in climbing,bhoping and especially in sliding/surfing but not in longjumping(this is just my opinion, because i got the chance to play for a longer period on 60hz and 100hz).
i dont know about resolution, i didnt felt a big difference between 1024 and 1920.
my advice is that you should stick to the resolution/hz you feel the most comfortable with. that's how you can improve.

Btw its not about improving anymore :D i was better in my first 4-5 months then now (and i havent made big pauses how can you explain this?!?!..) now im playing for fun

I use 1280x720 ingame and its just better for me .. never used anything more than that cuz of fps drops
100 hertz television/monitor refreshes or rebuilds its image 100 times in a second, since a 60-hertz television/monitor only rebuilds its picture 60 times in a second, So your 60hz monitor has fps-real 60.
Do not get a 100hz tv hooked up to your pc.. It will look dramamticaly worse because of the response rate and not the refresh rate..pc monitors are well below 5ms whilst tvs are well above it, this produces ghosting and its one of the main reasons for getting a gaming monitor other than 144hz for smoothness.
DemonstratorBG what kind of Monitor u have? Is he have TN panel?Cuz im goin from smaller reso in 5ms panel (IPS i think) on bigger monitor with 1920 reso and 1 ms TN panel and the difference is HUUGE(better on my new monitor with 1ms TN panel)So maybe ur problem is from ur monitors panel.
p.s. both monitor(old and new one) have/had 60hz.
