Top30 different styles movie idea

Hello,

recently i toyed with this idea that actually came from the hns ¨different styles on¨.

The idea itself consist in gathering around 30 demos in total from different players on one map.
After that the movie would show all demos starting from the slowest run to the fastest and in the end the wr itself. In a way we could see how gradually this map is beaten. Also everyone could participate in here. From the biggest noobs, to average players, to pros and in the end to world record holders.
Thats why i think it would have big succes because of its accesability.

An important thing to mention would be the map´s lenght. If we are talking about 20-30 demos on one same map starting from the slowest to fastest time it we become boring around the middle of the movie.
Thats why the map should not be long but between speed and medium one.

For example you could choose a map of 30-40 seconds. Slowest runs will show how to pass the whole map in that amount of time but the more you reach the best times the bigger the skill. If this map has a shortcut and reduces the time twice better players will use it which means that after the 15th best time runs will be faster and it wont be the same repetitive run.

I think its an interesting way to see the real evolution from a noob to a world record holder and the gradual way the map is beaten.

Hope there will be players and moviemakers interested in this. Its one of the few projects where everyone can participate.

Cool idea, but I have also one. It's like a half-life run. The idea is to make best combos on each part of map from different players. So we will see the best possible run on the map. I like it very much! :)

Choose kz_facility pl0x.
Flat basic runs, sc's, pro skips, uber lj skips, combos, you can practically play around with the map with any kinda run improvements as you like. Also considering the wr run time isn't that huge either, a lot of player demos could be incorporated.

I personally wouldn't enjoy the whole length of a movie like p0ker's ... too much of the same map over and over again just makes the video not entertaining. I actually thought about something like this years ago but it only featured WR runs: chose the first WR and play it; when an already improved part (like a skip/shortcut --- NOT faster bhop/climbing) come in the map, switch nicely to the next WR that had the specific improvement and continue with that demo; so basicly you'll see only ONE run, tho its a bunch of them mixed together. Hope you got something out of this :D not in the mood to write

Either this, or toff's idea! Different players finding combos on maps whose wrs don't have 'em. Anyway, who can still have will to do smth like this for 1.6?
