Which video/demo would you show to a friend to showcase KZ?
As the title states, which video or demo would you show to a friend who's never heard of KZ before, to showcase the skill-ceiling and aesthetics of KZ? I'm looking for a go-to video for when people ask why I play this ancient fossil of a game.
From my point of view it has to come down to precision based maps and jumps, as new people will have a hard time judging distances and what really is hard or not when just watching a video.
Aesthetics also play a big role so good looking strafes doesn't hurt.
I'm interested in what you guys come up with.
I think it has to be a video that shows what can be done on the standard counter-strike maps after you learned some KZ.
A video like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACKnMjOJnwQ might pick an interest in some players. But since the game is in downfall it will be hard to find players that are willing to try a non orthodox way of playing counter-strike.

Showing a video that contains tricks on random maps like so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVx3tKuyMHE will make the viewer ask himself "wtf is this" and might not be enough to make him try to play KZ.
30/12/2016 12:41(edited 30/12/2016 12:44)dont wanna sound cocky but id show my movie describing my jumping career. and also movies like rotws and KorbaNs battle movies and iNsprate's latest trailers. ppl who have never played the game wont be impressed by hard-extreme demos, cuz they dont know the difficulty. so id bet mostly on aesthetics.

Your point is very valid, but I was leaning more towards the recent videos of top-tier players presently, something that will aspire the viewer to say ''I also want to do that''.
Most of us came here from the normal maps like de_dust2 and de_inferno years ago, but most of us also made the switch to KZ completely after a peroid of time. Because of this I can't help but think that there also are people who would be interested in KZ without even having touched 1.6 before, but it's a hard sell indeed.
It's true that the game is in downfall but as of writing this, CS 1.6 is the number 25th most played game on Steam, which is nothing to sneeze at.

there are so many good demos that very accurate represent what is kreedz about, at least my interpretation for kz. So its hard to choose. Here are a few, i think you cannt go wrong with any of them

I can definitely see how your career movie can be an inspiration for beginners, but perhaps a little demotivating for some in the end as well because of the realized time requirement you have to put in to even get to that level, it's a good thought though :D
