XJ HLViewer
Hello XJ. Today when I was reading chatbox I saw a f*cking AWESOME thing: HLViewer (made by —). This is what we dreamed about for so long!
And I think it would be fantastic if XJ implement this on the site. I mean it can be page where you can choose demo from XJ records and watch it.
What you think about this? is it technically possible?
i saw like 3 years ago irQuaker, mov0er and/or someone else posted severeral demos in that style...probably its complicated to make one
This is a great invention but imo doesn't convey all the beauty so detailed like cs does.
it really isn't difficult at all, according to the documentation on github you just insert the html snippet and put the files in the right folders.
I think this should be implemented, I sometimes want to watch runs, but can never be bothered to open 1.6 to do it.
The project is not finished yet. There are things missing:
- lighting/shadows
- sounds
- models and sprites (.mdl and .spr files)
- hud (health, chat, ljstats messages and so on)
- compression (.dem files are huge if not compressed)
- performance optimizations
- ...and other smaller things
If anyone knows how, you're free to help. Also, thanks for the positive feedback. I appreciate it.
its just a blue screen for me ... its supposed to be like that for now or am I the problem?

No. What browser are you using and which version? Can you open the developer console (F12 in most browsers) and copy/paste any errors?
Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87 m
I basicly made a screenshot, probably you can understand it better than my copy-paste: http://imgur.com/D8iLhpn
Ask me for more info if you need
Would certainly be a good thing. Hell you could even watch demos on the go.
@Quaker, about sounds: what do you think about converting that .dem file to .wav (or .mp3) and then put both files, compressed .dem and audio file, at the same time on that site...so you can watch the demo and hear sounds...?
I'll agree with hardbitter on this one.
@Cobrex
There are no errors in the console on the screenshot. Dunno what it could be. Maybe try with another browser (except IE).
@Joca
It took me some time to figure out what you meant. That's a nice idea. I'll think about it.
@harbitter and threat
Ok
irQuaker, Thank you very much, really looking forward to the updates. I can say with some errors I encountered, if necessary.
