hopefully with a good integration of the steam leaderboard.
a local leaderboard without sourcemod plugin was long over due.

This is a very good question.
Firstly, by being on steam as one of only a few REALLY free games, our chance at reaching new people is a great deal higher considering the amount of people on steam everyday being sometimes in 8 figures (more than 10 million). Also anyone searching for a "platformer" will see us among other keywords we may add like singleplayer multiplayer race etc.......

Keeping them is another story altogether. That is literally more or less up to you guys and how you treat these new additions that may not even come here at all, but rather stick to the games own discussion forum and workshop. If there are some of you avid KZmod (experienced players mainly) are on that discussion forum being helpful with questions.....this will help.

The lack of servers will not help us out much so getting together to get a server running for us at least in the beginning for a bit will help........and also being active there.

So many factors will play a role and it is nearly impossible to expect only the 2 of us to "keep" the entire crowd interested in the game. It must be a game wide effort for us to gain players and keep them interested enough to fall in love with it rather than hate the difficulty level and leave due to no help.

Raptor and I will will initially have our hands full. I am sure you can imagine.

Why is this not as a newspost is beyond me

Great, great achievement, you surely feel massive satisfaction right now. Good job you two, and all the others involved!

This and people recording again to show some activity

A dedicated server is very kindly being hosted by someone, so playing the game online again with others will be easier. Thanks again for all the help on Greenlight!

so it takes few days or mb month to finnaly release game in to steam platform?

cahz0r Tournament #323/03/2017 21:14

it will be hard to keep the new players; once they figure out the time and effort they need to invest in order to get a decent run, not to mention beating a current world record, then they'll probably quit.
we'll need a different approach, like frequent(weekly) live cups/tournaments(with a monthly ranking system) instead of waiting for users to record wr's.

i didnt played kz_tutorial map but if does not mention what strafing and the other techniques means, then you should probably build a new one - describing the basics as comprehensively as possible; keep in mind that there are many potential players that will try kzmod for the first time, wanting an easy way of introduction to the game. i wouldnt want to minimize the game and search on youtube for guides; it has to be somehow in-game.

a suggestion; instead of asking in the news for coders, moviemakers, mappers, how about making a thread in forum with the things you need; like "we need someone to make a rotw in the next 24 hours" or "we need a code for this kind of page,function,w/e this week" and adding a reward system will get more people involved.

things need to be a bit more organised if kzmod is to be climbing in the big league.

Guys,

Maybe a leaderboard like in H1Z1 that wipes every month, or all 3 months?
Most finished different maps, most PRO1 rankings, give it a pointsystem in the TOP25 = overall pointranking etc...

TOP25 will be invited for a cup with prices?

Create a tool that people can customize their own skins like in RUST?

Are tradecards possible at freegames, for badges?

Add maybe all that shit what the people want nowadays, if possible ofc...
