THIS LIFE

This is not bullshit.

A major trait in an RPG game is pumping character. In other words you start game as a green youth with no experience, no skill, no weapon or ammunition (or most basic ones). Further, as the levels go by, your character grows stronger, smarter, quickier. He develops. He discovers new knowledges which had been unavailable for him before. He becomes a beast. To develop from a rookie to a high tier player, that is the goal of this game.

And we shall look deeper into why such games are so, so popular today. Spending numerous hours in video games everyday has become a routine for many millions of people. What exactly is happening if we look deeper into it? And it is that swarms of pshysically and mentally healthy people waste their lives for developing some character only existing in virtual world. It would seem a paradox, for a human ought to strive developing his own personality - a real one. It does not concern video games only, but social networks as well. You do not dispart yourself from your social network account. If somebody dislikes a photo on your account page, you take it on your own, personal account. And it's the same in video games where you have goals, achievments, money, love and of course death. By playing online RPG games, people experience absolutely real feelings - excitement, fear, joy and.. happiness. And since our brain perceives surrogate experience as real, what else would you ever seek for?

Now you understand why virtual world has replaced real one for many, many people. There you don't have to think what to do - there's a simple scheme for success. Kill monsters and earn money and recognition. It's simple. Since we are used to always finding ways of least resistance, it is logically acceptable to assume that such mechanism is most accessible. Easy happiness. Let's take an exmaple of an ordinary student guy. In school he always feels subordinated, every teacher is your boss. The amount of information he has to learn and comprehend is quite huge. Herewith, he has nearly to no money because no one offers him a job. Quite often it results in a bad luck with girls. Not quite fun, is it?

But let us see the other side. In the evening, the same guy comes home, jumps into his armchair and dives in into the world of RPG. And here starts a new, better quality life. Here he is a respected member of society. He has good reputation, everyone listens to his words. He is strong and he can rebuff the enemy. He is rich, he has his own big house surrounded with chests of goods. He may even have his own businnes, for example weapons manufacture. Of course this guy would always want to come online because the surrogate creates an illusion of relevance and success in life. It is rose-colored glasses that makes world look brighter than his real world is. But it cannot continue like this forever for life is passing by. And one day in your old age you will have to look back at your youth and acknowledge that the better days of your life were spend in virtual world. Not the best experience, must be.

So fuck RPGs and go play KZ!

I can't understand why people like rpg games, I get bored really fast playing them, who the hell has time to waste exploring shit in video games? I mean if you watch some gameplay videos of rpg games, 90% of the time all they do is walk/run from point A to point B. Why the fuck would I waste my time doing that?
