Slomotion (question for cheaters)
To whoever has attempted to submit a cheated record, cheated in demos or cheated just for fun.
What I always wondered when I saw "cheated with slowmotion" on the Xtreme-Jumps News:
how much time did they spend on recording that demo?
I assume you play in slowmotion while recording. Now when i hear other jumpers have spent hours and hours of attempting a world record on a certain map, doesn't a slowmo cheat require 5x or 10x as much time? Assuming you have to make realistic moves and all to make a perfect cheated demo.
(My guess, I don't understand about these things.) It requires more time but the uptime of the lan in the end will be the same if the person tried without slowmo.
It all depends on a player but it's not even close to 5x or 10x. While 10-20% slowmotion was enough for kayne/iiN/MoNk, players like LyNn/omg0/FoF used 40-50% slowmotion or in some cases even more. So, roughly speaking, it takes 2x time to record a demo with slowmo, but that's only in theory. Although slowmo makes your strafes, turns and whatever else easier, it also makes your bhop much worse thus you have to spend extra time on bhop parts that you normally would pass without any problems.
i was thinkging the same jack frog...but i think slowmo isnt that 'popular' now...like fame said for bhopping...probably there are some cheaters who are quite 'good' (for kz not hacking) but just bind +slowmotion when they need it, and voila..my assumptions haha
Ahh ok. So you can play normally and when you need it, you just activate the cheat? Ok. I thought the entire gameplay would be in slowmotion and therefore taking ginormous time!

Considering this (I reckon you have evidence to prove this hypothesis), why isn't Kayne banned yet ?
Just wondering here ...
@jack frog...nah man, it maybe isnt true...i mean probably, cuz slowmo cant help you in bhop, but on hard jumps/maps people know who is good for it so no need for 'anonymous' doing slowmo there...im worried about present ''bhop hackers''...they arent using slowmo (i guess) but probably bhop script/hack with random bhops and with a little skillz you can get like.. someone
Not trying to defend kayne here or put a blame on anyone, but i've spectated him alot, and i mean alot...i don't know what slowmo you're talking about. It may be you're referring to some of the earliest demos of him (when i know he's been banned for using something), when i didn't know and didnt' spectate him, but other than that i've never seen him use slow mo, and still beat alot of demos.
@woof because admins have immunity..
@keo It wold be pretty much obvious while you spectate ( I guess u have seen him with other kind of cheats)

It's not like you can enable slowmo in the middle of run and do hard jump with a first try, in order to be good you need to get used to it. For that reason 99% of cheated demos you see are slowmo'ed entirely. omg0 is one of these 1%, he was enabling slowmo before every jump and disabling afterwards. If not this, he probably would never have been caught ^^

Good question. Probably because he didn't submit a single cheated demo since 2012, and even back then he managed to fool admins so they thought his demos are just 'bugged'. If someone ask me for evidence — I'll provide it, but I have zero desire to fight for his ban.
@Keo, yeah, I'm talking about his demos from 2010 https://cosy-climbing.net/jumper.php/2414/Josef/
@fame, ok i understand.
@fiveshot: not saying it's not possible, but i highly doubt he did it in the time he was no1.
you should try to slowmotion yourself, itll make you a much better climber after having seen it

Having spectated him during his WR attempts years ago, I can only +1 this :-)
On topic: slowmotion is not even fun... Spending so much time for a WR has never been worth it, especially when it still takes you a lot of time and effort to get used to it.
You would have to provide the same amount of effort to practice without cheating, so why bothering except for satisfying your curiosity for 5min... :-)
cheats, codes, scripts, all that crap is for cowards, the people who dont have guts to do it like real man.
I always had an idea, making a website only for cheaters, so they can make runs with cheats and beat each others. Therefore they won't come here, they will have their own cheating website and competition.

I think that could be quite interesting!
