KZ apm counter.
I was wondering if there was such a device to count apm's in KZ. I've been wondering for couple of years, how many apm's bhop maps like goldbhop must have, I mean it an almost constant 6-7 clicks (strafes.) 1-4 (duck, forward, scroll) per second. Which makes me think that KZ could be one of the more apm intensive games there are. This is ofcourse without all the mousemovement included.
Is there any possibility somewhere in the code, that could just make a simple counter so we can finally see how many apm's a real strafe intensive map would have.
I know the real problem here is that the scroll takes up 4-5 clicks, that doesn't really belong in there with the APM's. Any luck here?
So... I used KeyCounter to see how many key strokes I get on a bkz_goldbhop run, which took an impressive time of 2 minutes 33 seconds and got:
A - 140
D - 182
W - 332 (When I hold W, my keyboard doesn't read it as a single stroke, but as multiple presses like WWWWWWWWWW)
E - 2 (for start and stop timer)
Ctrl - 104
Ignoring the W key, I got 171 APM.
Later edit: Did it again, but changed the keyboard properties in control panel to the slowest repeat delay and repeat rate and I got 2 minutes 13 seconds:
A - 129
D - 151
W - 45
S - 5
E - 2
Ctrl - 77
APM 184.
i heard apm first time here...dont know what is it...but all this is just for statistics right?

Wow nice! That is definitely in the high range category! Thanks for testing it out. It's something I thought would probably be a little bit more to be honest. So Starcraft is around 3-500 apm. So we're not that far off! :)

In this context it basicly means, how many clicks (actions) per minute. Apm = Actions per minute.
I think such statistic should be made on 1.30 runs since 'pros' strafe more and in general 'click' more.
We also gotta take into consideration that starcraft pro's they really just spam buttons to get that high apm. At some point it's pretty irrelevant.
I've made two 1:40 runs on bkz_goldbhop and got:
1. 394 APM counting only 1 scroll per bhop
2. 705 APM counting all scrolls
In the first case I made 122 bhops so 394 - 122 = 272 APM counting only strafes.
