Working hp booster and do I need it?

Hey guys, just a quick question/request.

Seems like I need to have a hp booster in my map or else the godmode won't work, but after looking through the forum I couldn't really find anything else than dead links from 2010 prior.

So the first question is, does anyone have a link for a working hp booster?

And the second question/problem on my side is I don't really have enough space for the hp booster with the upper "roof" part at the spawn of my map as it would be used as a shortcut, doesn't matter where I place it (proof), so is there something like hp booster without the upper or some kind of hp booster that would not collide with the player, and do I need hp booster at all included in my map?

Thanks for answers and sorry for my messy writing I'm tired af.

HP booster is 2 entities: a func_door with damage set to -10000 and a trigger of any sort that fires that door on your model. If you really need the booster in your map, you can make a hole in the wall and place it there, or a small starting space connected to the room you showed in the picture. Just be a little creative with it. I am uploading the basic HP booster in rmf.

If there are no areas in the map where you die when you fall, you can make a big block that covers the whole map, make it trigger_hurt and set damage to "-100".
This way the HP will regenerate back to 100 when you lose some health.

@fuzzy why would he complicate the thing, when if he cannot die from falling..? :)...but im guessing fakan will make something high, with big falls

If you fall several times and lose 10-15 HP each time you will eventually die. With my way your health is regenerating back to 100 when you fall, he can implement it faster and without making extra rooms/holes in walls.
And for falling from something high he can make the landing in water to prevent dying.

This actually seems like a great idea for what I'm going for, thanks a lot for the answers, as almost all my areas have risky blocks that people are expected to fall from at first, and there will be a lot of damage taken overall, but non of them should be taking more than 100hp (expect for the run busters where you basically fall down the whole thing but you won't be continuing the run then anyway), only thing is, won't it alter the movement in any way or make the annoying hurt sound, and is it legal to do this for a map that I plan to submit to xj? (can't test stuff now as I'm at work)

The only thing the trigger_hurt will do is constantly bring the health back to 100. So if you have no fatal drops this should fix your problem and there is no reason why it should be illegal.

Then that pretty much fixes my issue, thanks a lot to both of you for the help!

It's not illegal and doesn't affect movement in any way. Many maps on xj uses it, including my fu_extreme map.

If you are worried that you can jump on top of the hp booster then raise the door to a higher position and adjust the values so it goes down all the way and fast. You don't need to use the old default one at all. And unless you have something deadly at the start you don't need it in the start room either. I placed one on Gigablockier so it hit you when walking in a hallway kinda.

You could put it in a separate room inaccessible except with noclip. Since virtually every kz plugin automatically boosts you HP given the map has a booster, it would still do it's job.

If you want it to work even without a plugin in a separate room, you can make all 32 spawn points in said room under the booster and a one second delayed teleport trigger to the start button.

Or you could just indent it into a wall next to your start button.
