which recording and editing software you use?

hi guys

This forum has a really great feature called the search bar, where you can search for information and similiar questions asked dating years to the past.

do not try video editing with that setup because it's very time-consuming.
if you want to put your imagination to work then try building maps for us. search trough the forum for tutorials and post your projects here to get feedback from other experienced mappers.

You'll have the basis knowledge about how to extract raw sequences into Sony Vegas Pro.

i wouldn't suggest moviemaking on your computer until you get a graphics card,also you will need lots of storage for capturing demos in higher fps. aboslute minimum you should go with is 500-750gb and even then you might be filling it up pretty quickly capturing @ 300 fps. more ram also is crucial for faster video rendering. on the other hand,you will be able to use mapping software without any problems.

For recording, you can use the following software
HLAE
not real-time but the best quality. can capture image sequences with good motionblur.
Geforce Experience
if you use Nvidia Graphic Cardcapturing. like GTX660GTX or above, you can capture high quality videos which only occpies small disk space.
Fraps
Good quality but need Good CPU for smooth capturing.

For editing,
Vegas
is your best choice if you dont need complex effects.

Adobe Family Software
is your best choice if you need excellent FXs.

UE4 and C4D
can also be used For editing if you need to create some fantastic 3d scenes.

so if you dont have one of that "premium" programs, try blender. its a nice programm with some nice functions. its amazing for fxs and 3d scenes. and there alot of nice tutorials on youtube.
