CPU Fans going crazy [help]

My fans are going crazy while running games. The pc used to only be loud when opening dota 2, though it would react to how many effects are on the screen etc. Now, after few days of playing PUBG (just bought it), my fans are louder than ever. Ok, I understand that the game is not well optimized so I was fine with it. The thing is that all of the sudden, the fans go full speed whenever i open kzmod, dota, pubg, even skipping through youtube videos, which didnt happen before except as i said, dota.
I used to play fallout 4 on medium/high settings, farcry primal on medium settings and The Witcher 3 on again decent settings. I'm not saying the PC was quiet always, but def not as loud as now. God, even in kzmod it goes crazy while in the main menu!!
Today I cleaned the fan from my motherboard (i suck at hardware stuff so dont ask me more), which I used to do before but this time I actually 'detached' the vent from the board. It should be fine, but it isnt: still the same loud problem!
I own GTX 1050 TI from ASUS so I tried to google stuff out for overclocking etc but no good result. Theres only 6gb of RAM available aswell as i5 2.90hz.
I don't have any other serious triple A game to test more on, but I just want my pc to work properly while running kzmod and such.
PS: I use asus GPU TWEAK II, if this info helps :) oh and the temp goes from ~45*C to ~70*C when ingame main menu dota / pubg
I'll surely send the PC to my dude that does this for a living just for re-instaliing windows etc and cleaning up the inside of it. Still, wanted to know if I'm missing something or ... dunno, im out of words
PS: I didn't install any windows update whatsoever!

29/04/2018 23:20(edited 29/04/2018 23:29)Hey Cobrex. So your cpu fan wasn’t dirty. Did you check the thermal paste? If you dettached the cooler from the CPU, you should re-apply it. And if you haven’t changed it in a long time, you might as well. Eventually that paste becomes more solid and, because it doesn't help the cooler to cool down your CPU, the fans have to work harder.
I dont know if that will fix the problem, but maybe its some configuration on your BIOS. You can reset it to default through the jumpers of the CMOS (easier than it seems) Vid: https://youtu.be/-9RnIj-EcdQ
So if the system was mishandling the CPU because of some bad configs, that should do.
Friendly reminder to keep your Windows updated. Unlikely this is going to fix it, but who knows.
The GPU should have nothing to do with it. I have a 1060 3GB and it gets loud because I set the fans to 90% when temps are above 78c (manufacter limits it to 83c which is a safe temp, but I don't trust it)

I never went through BIOS and anything related to that, always had a buddy taking care of that stuff. Yes, I guess I'm scared of it lol

29/04/2018 23:41what CPU cooler you're using? If you already cleaned it, there's not much more you can do, maybe decreasing the RPM in BIOS. I've got the same issue with a basic front panel case fan, and it was alright after cleaning all the dust in there.

After further investigation, the fan with problems is the CPU one, so thanks for the info!
Bro am I high or the cooler isnt screwed in place? You can clean the solid paste with cotton and alcohol (both in the cooler and upper side of the processor) I suggest you find a tutorial. If you don’t want to do it yourself you can ask a friend. Thermal paste costs about 3-4 Euro and you don’t need to apply a lot. No specific brand required
i recommend you to upgrade your cpu cooler; search on emag or pcgarage(the only ones i trust with large variety in Ro) for compatible coolers for your type of cpu;
from that image i assume it's at least 3 years old stock cooler, that's when they start to be "noisy".
you can first try what afu said - clean old thermal paste, apply new one and see if there is any difference.
i do not recommend you to lower maximum RPM of your cpu fan.
you can also add some sticky rubber feet(something like this) under your pc case to lower it's vibrations

If your FAN is spinning like crazy on it's own, its because the CPU is getting quite hot (IF you already ruled out some misconfig on BIOS)
Its protecting itself from burning out, and at the same time its warning you that there's a problem
I suggest you to change the cooler, new thermal paste and clean the case. This should fix your problem. Intel stock coolers aren't great at all.
02/05/2018 21:22if you have stock cooler,get a new one..also apply thermal paste (depends how long you havent done it).Used to have similar problem with fan going crazy while running Dishonored 2 maxed out.Thermal pasta + dust clean resolved it.
