Guys, I'd like to hear your opinion on this: https://youtu.be/w_oMMPwiPkI

I haven't really started with the project yet, but I haven't forgotten about it. Currently I'm thinking of a movie with old-school-reminisce type of theme mixed with this song: https://soundcloud.com/lil_peep/lil-peep-ft-xxxtentacion-falling-down

I'm trying out different things/effects right now, I'm just getting started with AAE and I know this program has a lot of potential if a man can use it properly. It will take a while to get this movie finished since I don't have that much time, but I promise it'll be good.

Another thing that I'd like to ask you is what do you think about making the whole video as if it's a night? Would that look cool or should I stick with the day?

And what do you think about the cc+fog+depth of field thingy. Does it look good? One thing is really bugging me that I can't fix those blurry outlines. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

I think you should keep it very simple with nice camera angles and not that much effects. But since you want it to be "old-school" you should watch something from ndR or FoF i guess. Both of them have very clean style and thats what I prefer. Im not a moviemaker but as a normal person I recommend it to be clean.

Hey sicknature,

The footage you showed was pretty cool indeed. Sometimes a little too yellow for my taste and the night footage was definitely too dark. The last version was best for me.

The night theme can work if it fits the overall movie. In 2010 I created a movie with night theme: https://youtu.be/8cbHk_Z5fFs

DOF looks good imo when not overused. For example you could use it on the intro/ special parts of the movie you wan't to highlight.

Don't forget to add colors to the player model also if using splitstreams so it will fit with the backround :-)

Well... Sir Nubz has spoken, all I would like to add is just do whatever you feel ... For example, kaffee's unusual, one of the most different artistic skilled and greatest overall movies ever, has nothing to do with anything...
These shots looks promising, just try to create atmosphere and symbiosis wbetween the colours/music/movements and it'll be awesome!

cc should transmit the mood of the song, when you watching comedian tv shows you can see that the creators using bright, warm colors, and thriller or horror films using dark, cold tones

Better yet, add an adjustment layer above the world and model to blend it together B)

this is a movie an old friend of mine made that features different day and night scenes. its just color settings but in my opinion it made up a interesting style, especially in the intro it worked really well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4PZy1JrfS0

nubz night movie is really good ofc and it was one of the first movies that used this style, but i dont think its so exciting to do another night themed movie nowadays. maybe you can think of something original, e.g. check out the outro of that movie i just linked above to get my drift - thats really outstanding in a weird way

@kalinsky thanks for the praise

cant say much about AE, i always prefered vegas by force of habit although AE is obviously the better tool for moviemaking.

...and +1 to everything nubz said.

looking forward to watch your movie
