How are you?
Hello everyone,
It’s an interesting feeling to visit XJ again. After having spent over a decade in this community and quite literally grown up with this game like so many of you. All through the troublesome and turbulent teen years to a young, responsible adult. Thousands of hours spent trolling, bickering, taunting and poking fun at each other both ingame and forums. Many friendships were made, and equally many were broken. Thousands of hours spent playing through the long night for that special jump or run – so close that we can almost taste the victory. Just one more time.
Thank you everyone – especially those who I’ve shared and dedicated many hours to – for this amazing experience that we’ve had through this game and community. It fascinates me how this community still manages to blossom, even though the game is nearly two decades old at this point. Counter-Strike and Kreedz will live on – even if only through distant memories. It puts a smile on my face to think back through all the amazing characters I’ve come to know throughout the years. So, this is for all of you out there, regardless if we know each other or not – how are you?

I also felt quite nostalgic before some time. I've been visiting XJ almost daily for about a month now, I even opened my lan to record a few stuff. I feel so happy to see that the community is still standing strong. Seeing some old heads makes me smile, I also love watching the top-of-the-game records these days.. Wow...

i joined kreedz word at the begining of 2008 and 11 years later, i love watching demos as much as the very first demo i've watched ever (ofc it was bibo's goldbhop)

Hey ShoCk. Great to see you're still around. Anything new and exciting in your life?
I started before XJ, when it was Kzmaps, I'm even starting to forget about a lot of stuff, because it's been a decade and a half. I'm member 477 on this site haha!
I remember the name Mathzz though. Not many Norwegians back then. Good to see you around.
I've never left really, just always stuck around and checked out what happened, through many different eras, it's been a really cool thing to follow, considering back in the zhady days, people were already starting to state that people we're pushing the limits, but the limit always seems to evade us. Now I can watch all the records on youtube, which really makes me want to check out the front page daily, to see if there's any new content, because I haven't even gotten CS anymore, nor a PC. (mac user)
It's also just a pretty awesome community, and it always has been.
So yeah, I'm great, working full time and enjoying life as much as I can. Life is filled with ups and downs, that's just normal, things happen and every thinkable emotion will happen to you sooner or later. There's no reason to expect otherwise. So taking the good with the bad. Mostly good, for me to be honest. Kinda lucky I guess :)

Really interesting to see the very old-school players like yourself still hanging around – keeping a watchful eye. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t I have you on snapchat years ago? It must’ve been around 6-7 years ago today.
All the different eras that kz has evolved through have had it’s amazing and controversial moments. Thankfully, most of it can be experienced partially through videos and demos. The biggest regret of mine is deleting and losing demos and movies that I’ve worked to achieve throughout the years. All those memories mostly gone.
Very nice to hear that you’re doing great. I wish you a good fortune. You’re right. That’s just life. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs as well. They can serve as great life lessons to reflect back on in order to grow as human beings.

I sometimes think about it too, how we've all started at our teen ages and how we change as we grow up and the overall mentality of this community changes along with us, I can notice it. It's really like one big playground where we all know each other, even though many of us might not have ever talked to others. We're all in it and we're united by this passion for kz. But I think it's too early to start this soap opera, let us talk at least in 10 years, when our children go to school :)

Congratulations man. I wish you three all the best. May the future bring much luck and fortune for you all. Sounds like you’re doing great with your life – settling down and all. I’m sure we’ve not seen the last of you, yet. I’m sure there’s more to see in the future.
Exactly. It’s so unlike anything. Who knows what the future has in store for us. It’s an exciting and terrifying thought. Maybe in another 10-years this community has grown bigger than ever – or cease to exist. Hopefully not the latter.
Thank you for asking. I’m doing great. Moved to a bigger city and enjoying being a student. Been travelling and just living my life for the fullest. Few heartbreaks here and there combined with unexpected roadblocks to navigate through. But nothing serious. It's an exciting and new chapter in my life.
Sorry Mathzz I don't remember if we ever exchanged snapchat. With regards to your records, if you had wr's on XJ, I'm sure they are somewhere. There's a thread, that highlights lost demos, and I wrote for fun if anyone had a demo of mine, turned out someone had all of them. So surely you'll be able to retrieve them back!

I vaguely remember exchanging snapchat with two danes back in the days. I can't remember if it was you or not. As for the records and such, I was mostly just a trickjumper. Never held any WRs. I'd be surprised if people had my demos, apart from moviemakers who have edited them of course.
