Problem playing 60 fps videos (youtube)

I am dealing with an annoying problem on youtube for years and just cannot stand it anymore. I keep getting frame drops every few seconds and it is driving me insane. I use the "stats for nerds" feature to keep track of the problem. If I play any video on 30fps I get no frame drops but I keep getting it in every video when I try 60 even with different browsers. I tried every fix I could find and nothing has worked so far. I am convinced it is a browser problem because I can play 60fps videos in my computer just fine without any frame drops. I really need some help with this because I just cannot stand this, it is annoying beyond words.

A test with a 5 minutes 1 sec 60 fps CSGO video:

if you're using chrome, have you tried turning hardware acceleration off? chrome://settings/?search=hardware+acceleration

I said I tried every fix imaginable and disabling hardware acceleration only makes things 10000000x worse. Videos do not even look like a video, they look like a slideshow when I turn it off. It was the first fix I tried.

well I guess, deep down, you know what's the solution... get better pc.
Video playback is more demanding in web browsers than in a dedicated video player.

Alternate solution, switch to linux, or at least try a live cd and see if the videos run better under linux.

Bro I do not have a weak computer, I can play any games I want (csgo with 300 fps or battlefield 3/4 with everything on ultra or apex legends with high settings) with decent fps and if the problem was the computer this problem wouldn't have started from nothing in 2017 because I've been using it for a while, if the computer was the cause I would have had this problem since day 1 and I would clearly notice it.

do you mind sharing your pc specs and OS?
(fuzzy "get better pc" then you tell him to change his OS? if his pc components are too old to play 60fps vidz changing the system won't magically fix that)

linux tends to perform better than windows on low spec PCs.
I have an old laptop, with 2 gpu, and the good gpu is half-dead and doesn't work anymore on windows, but for some reason it works fine in linux.
If you plan to test it on linux, i recommend using Solus, it's the best distribution to use with steam games.

Well, this computer had its days, it is ancient now but still a pretty decent setup for the games I play.

I'm using win 7 64 bit
8320BE with stock speed and fan, very good temps even during hot weather and 100% usage (watercooler soon)
Zotac GTX760 2GB Blower design (old but still run the games very well and NEVER gets too hot)
8GB DDR3 RAM 1333mhz 1.50v (getting 16GB soon)
MOBO 970A-D3P
Corsair CX750W PSU (very overkill psu for this build, I know)
I'm using 3 intake 120x120mm fans, 1 120mm exhaust at the back and 1 140mm exhaust fan at the top
No overheating problems.

i know u ruled it out but it may be the graphics card.. extremely odd since you can run games fine. cant imagine other thing to suggest. run the cpu's gpu (does it have one?) and try or borrow a friends card and test

Try disabling fast boot in BIOS. I'm not sure how or if it works with win 7 but worth a try.

if the vid runs fine can you then check your monitor refresh rate on the link below and confirm it's not below 60hz please?
(point is to eliminate the weird possibility that your monitor refresh rate value was changed to 50Hz, it would explain the frame drops on 60fps vidz only and how you wouldn't notice the difference in fps games as vsync is off)

59.790 hz. As for the video, 17 dropped frames out of 28137.

Did you try downloading a 60fps yt vid to watch it from your HDD? is it laggy too?

(btw regarding afu's post, the AMD FX CPUs (the one Gorbachev has) don't have integrated graphics. so it may indeed be a weird GPU issue or an issue with youtube/html5 vid players if the answer to my question above is "not laggy on HDD".)

I noticed this problem is only on youtube. I was looking for 60fps gaming streams on facebook and watched it fine without any fps drops, same thing on twich, playing 60fps stream just fine, no drops. I tried watching one of the videos I upload to youtube and I had the same fps drops as in every other 60fps video on youtube but when I play them from my HDD I get not drops. Tested several times. I didn't try to download a 60fps videos from youtube to try it tho.
