Logitech mouses
Hey there,
Every now and then I started playing cs again and I noticed a big problem for my Logitech mouse. Currently, I have Logitech G402, but I also have Zowie EC-2B. What I noticed is when I'm trying to bhop with G402 every 2nd-3rd jump is losing my speed. For example: I prestrafed 220, made a SBJ and got around 260 ms and suddenly another SBJ removes all my speed and I'm getting 150 ms. Why did I mention EC-2B is because I don't have any problems with it. I'm easily controling my bhops and dropping under 220 ms happens only once in like 20 jumps. What I want to say by that is jumping with EC-2B doesn't make me lose speed like with G402.
There is one thing I have found out. After downloading Logitech Software for my mouse, it improved my jumps by a little, but still, its not the same speed like EC-2B.
I've heard and seen, that many XJ users are using G402 as their "KZ-Mouse" and my question towards you is: Do you use any other software for Logitech or do you recognize my problem with your own experience? Please let me know!

30/06/2019 21:09Hi, I'm a G402 mouse owner for a few years now and it's totally vice versa with me. To me, it's the best kz mouse and it's especially great for bhop. And not any worse for strafing though! Idk if EC-2B uses the same scroll wheel as EC-2A, but I could not bhop FOR SHIT on the latter one. I've used a lot of mice but G402 is probably the best one for kz, without any settings. And I doubt that Logitech Software has done or could have done any change to your bhop.

Currently I don't have my EC-2B at home, so I can't show how do I bhop normally, but you can clearly see those loses while using G402 that drops my speed so much..
You press jump too early. That's the problem. Either just use the other mouse or get used to the g402.
01/07/2019 17:39I don't know why your bhop is so bad with G402. It might be defective mwheel (which is very rare), or you just have to get used to it. But it's weird anyway, because pretty much no matter how I scroll my mwheel, it would give me good bhops almost every time and I don't see any wrong pattern in your air strafing. Weird stuff.
02/07/2019 02:18I'm using a g402 now and I have the same problem but it happens just for some minutes and then I return to the "normal" playing state. I don't really mind about it because it has not a frequency to make me unable to play for big periods, and also for its little duration. Btw I have another little but sporadic problem: the +jump command (mwheeldown in my case) keeps "pressed" as if I had been pressing the spacebar for 2-3 seconds. That means I'm bhopping normally and suddenly the player doesn't jump because the game detects the +jump activated.
It's quite weird because I know many players that use this mouse and they don't have any problem. In fact, I really like it when it's in the "normal state" and I would recommend it to everyone, but it would be nice if I didn't have these two little problems but whatever.
02/07/2019 03:44Hey Aguslash. Maybe you could report this issue directly to Logitech (seems like a hardware problem?). I was a G5 and G500 user, and both of them died sudenly after a year and the company was very efective sending me a brand new one since I had to explain the problem detailed and take pictures of the mouse.
I mean, their support was great back in the time, and maybe you should give it a try.

The problem is that I bought it to a friend of mine that got this mouse like 2-3 years ago and he kept it into the original box until he needed the money and sold it to me, so the guarantee time for a devolution to the company is over. Nevertheless, as I previously said, this issue is not a big impediment for me to enjoy a good kz night. Thank you tho.
If I were you, RaVersoN, I would follow surRendi's recommendation. Probably you've received a defective product.

Over RaVersoN's, i can't see as a defective mouse still. Maybe you try to find an evidence off-game rolling down/up your scroll in a big web page and record it. I don't know, I'm just overthinking.
I have the same problem. The previous G402 did not. The new G402 in recent years is slightly different from the old G402
And found that the USB interface is different from the old G402, it is smaller

15/07/2019 02:24I gave my G402 to toff and he said it's a bad kz mouse overall but his bhop looked perfect nontheless :D
on the other hand, round purchased one this week and already beat two wrs in one or two days and has won a cup and he said his bhop improved a lot
just so you know :D

I'll refresh this topic after some researches. I think Evis was right - I'm pressing mwheelup waaay to early. In EC2B, the scroll is not as freely to ("roll/move") as on Logitech and it might be why I'm losing my speed. Today I was trying to play a few maps with G402 and at the very begin it went pretty smooth and y'all were right, bhops on this mouse are awesome, but for hell I can't control it. I'm always pressing that mwheelup too early and still losing the speed. Is there anything I can do about it?
You just gotta readjust your reflexes, had the same issue with g402, first i couldn't bhop at all, then i started doing insane sbj (keep in mind i was never good kreedzer). Also, there are 2 versions of g402 - one has smaller usb plug and has kinda weird scroll, the other one is rock solid
30/08/2019 02:08I use G5 since 2012 and it works like a charm. This mouse seems to be indestructible. Too bad it's discontinued but if you have a chance to get it, don't waste it.

Hey, I understand your point of view and surely, I already owe one G5, but it doesn't work properly, as it is a mouse bought 10 years ago. But what I really wanted to understand is how can I fix that speed loss after jumping, since at EC2B it doesn't happen that often like it happens at G402. Guess it depends on practising with that mouse.
Change the speed of scrolling, seems it have to be different from your old mouse that u get used before. But 2 months passed and u still didn't get used to the new one than leave that mice alone lol
