In-game lag spikes and weird random movements
Hello, guys! As you have already read the title, what I am experiencing at the moment while playing on my LAN server is : from time to time my game freezes for like 0.1 sec, which of course causes me to fail miserably most of the demos if I am in run. This is happening very often even though I have literally nothing opened except my CS 1.6 .... I have already set the game to run on my Nvidia Geforce 960M.
Another weird thing going on is that some of the times this happens, my character in-game start walking on its own in a random position, lets say forward, and even though I haven't pressed anything, it would keep going until I press W again.
A little bit for my build - Lenovo Y50-70 laptop, Intel i7 4220HQ 2.6 gHz, 8GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 960M 4 GB. It is literally good enough to atleast run cs 1.6 properly.
Any help is appreciated as this just annoys me bad that it makes me not want to recording anything anymore - it is like 2x harder to play like this.
I had same problems, changed lan server plugins and its okay now, try it
I play on laptop also and my latest demo is 92 average fps EleGiggle
GTX 1060, i5 btw. Nice game. Everything was off except hamachi as well. I am using kz-rush plugin.
Me and Kpoluk tried to found out what was causing the problem ( mainly if it was due to kz-rush plugin ) so I recorded a demo with kz-rush plugin, which had obvious lag spikes in it and then recorded similar demo with XJ plugin, which showed no much difference.
17/05/2020 01:12Have same thing with ~0.1 freezes on lan, kinda got used to it because no idea what to do, doesnt depend on me so if I fail I just restart and move on. I'm getting similar thing on rush servers but not sure if thats the case on my end or servers, because I think other people experience small spikes too.

That only happens to me on Ankh servers, but thats because of the server plugins I think. My game freezes for few secs on map votes, new player joining or sometimes even me shooting.
lag only when u are recording demo?
I can't really tell if it is only when recording demo. I get these in public as well, but less frequently. Sometimes It gets super bad at LAN when recording, sometimes it is reasonable.
I get this too on lan and no kz plugins.

So guys, I might have a solution for you, atleast it works for me now.
What I did was to uninstall CS 1.6 and install it again ( meaning to delete all files and folders, had my config saved though )
Then I put the amxx after I installed it again and then I extracted the KRD recording plugin. Now I dont have these very irritating lags anymore. I have been playing for 2 hours already.
