Assuming "+duck" is bound to mwheeldown/up,

How much do you guys scroll your mouse when doing cj/dcj/mcj? I feel like it affectsmy prestrafe when doing cj/dcj.

For example when doing cj, is your scroll a small click? like 1 or 2 steps in the mousewheel? or do you flick hard like 6 or 7 steps of the scrollwheel in one flick?

likewise for standup ground strafes, do you guys tend to scroll lightly or flick hard all the way?

Seems like you have a bad reputation of either trolling or accusing people because you're stupid so I'm going to ignore your reply.

I am no expert as my CJ record is around 264 stats and DCJ 270 stats but I just scroll it with the flow, I don't think I one tap the scroll, I roll my finger down one or two times depending on CJ or DCJ.

@coolkid54 i though you can take a joke like a man lol, so no real answer from me sry

I gave a lot of thought to this subject and the matter of fact is that the more i thought about it the more complicated answer it proved to be. In all retrospective and speculative point of view the accuracy of cj / dcj comes down to a multitude of factors that influence the rate of success in executing this kreedz jumping techniques.
One important aspect about the accuracy of count jumps is depended of the tangential scrolling speed in relationship to the mouse edges besides each mouse wheel. The fact is that after trying countless mouse models i came to the conclusion that count jumps can be perfectly executed regardless if a mouse costs $100 or $5. But you have to consider many other important factors like how well your mouse wheel turns. Just to be safe i recommend lubricating your mouse wheel with some kind of lubrication agent, like a WD-40 which does the job quite well. If you are a cheap bastard and don't want to buy it you can use cooking oil a few drops every few days will do the job.
If your grandmother doesn't want to give you her precious cooking oil (especially now with covid madness) you can use some raw ham and jerk it on the mouse wheel, it will get a bit oily but you will get used to it in a short while and as a plus your fingers will taste awesome when you'll lick them or pick your nose. If you can get your hands on some ham, because pigs don't grow where you are, the last resort is to simply spit on the mouse wheel, but be aware you have to blow that spit really hard to get it inside the mouse wheel, else it won't do you much help. Also the spitting technique requires frequent reapplication, because it dries out pretty fast.
Now that you are done with the lubrication part the second most important thing you have to keep in mind, when it comes to the cj and dcj precision is the room humidity. This also impacts dramatically the performance of all mouse wheels. If humidity in your room is too low the lubrication of the mouse wheel will dry out quickly and your wheel will soon become sticky and drastically impact the accuracy of your cj. On the other hand if humidity is too high the mouse wheel will most likely turn too fast making it uncontrollably damaging yet again your precious cj. I recommend buying a professional thermo-hygrometer (don't be cheap the ones that cost a few bucks are very accurate) and make sure the humidity is between 50 and 70, ideal to keep it at 61,7 before you even attempt to open cs 1.6.

The third thing that affects count jumps and double count jumps specifically is the atmospheric pressure. To precisely measure it you will need a barometer, if you got the expensive thermo-hygrometer it most likely has a barometer too. Now you may ask "how can the atmospheric pressure affect my cj?" Well it affects it very much if you think about it. When the atmospheric pressure is high, it pushes down on your mouse wheel and on your mouse itself way more than usually making your mouse wheel turn harder and your mouse will also slide slower on the pad and ruin your sexy strafes. To keep it short if the atmospheric pressure is higher than 760 mm Hg don't even attempt to play kz, better to take a break and in this days and think about new topics you can post on xj forums and ask for advice on them so you can become the ultimate kreedz player in the history of humanity.
Hope this helps and good luck improving your cj records. After i followed this tips i improved my cj record from 264.2 to 264.7 and my dcj from 271.1 to 271.3

Love the thermo-hygrometer comment, control all your variables people :D. Humidity/temperature can affect your mousepad resistance and of course other aspects as well. nice

Yep, you need to keep in check every variable, don't get me started about how your mouse is affected by the moon phases, super nova explosions or the sun's gravitational pull

No no please carry on

Several years ago I asked this question to some of the top players in PM. All told me that they do a full scroll. You need to catch the perfect timing of the mouse rotation, scrolling is not as important as you think. In general, creating a topic is to receive only trolling and ridicule in response. Ask someone in a personal message. For example, I sent several messages to shnz, nukk, patchouli, and always got a detailed answer to everything I was interested in.

Is doing full scrolls a new techinque?

I've always just "click" scrolled once for CJ, double for DCJ and three or more for MCJ.

Is this a community meme im about to fall for?
