JUST A MAP SUGGESTION!

maybe something like a smurf village map..... with a lot of mushroom house jumps and gargamells castle..... dont know how to spell gargomell

or a map of vietnam with alot of abandon buildings and a village market and alot of different trees
i dont know just a suggestion for those who might get stuck with ur genius creative ideas!

lol, demo. . .sad but true. But i think a smurf map for a beginner would be a little too complex

I dont.

A map is nothing that has to be finished quick. Just look at shizuka and sadpuppys "godspeed". They've been working on it for a very long time, and from what I know shizuka didnt know much about mapping at start.
The first weeks your map might look like shit, unless your gifted. But just keep reading tutorials, keep improving, changing, retexturing. Just keep on practising and learning and within time your "first" map will turn out just amazing.

I think its much better to practise on (and improve) the map you WANT to build, instead of building 20 maps before your actual 'dream' map. Better to spend all your time improving one map, instead of 10-20 different maps. (did i echo..?)

Just follow the loop: build, compile, test, change and improve, compile, test.....
