Map -> Go to brush number

Entity: 0
Brush: 68

then find it and delete it

Mehz15/04/2007 11:18

I did that, but it doesnt find it for some weird reason...

AverageFreak15/04/2007 11:36

find the ig button (IGNORE)

this will make all brushes selectable, it ignores groups and stuff

then try again

if this happens again, simply press "delete"
sometimes this weird bug occurs :)

Mehz15/04/2007 11:43

Press ig, then compile again?

Eh eh, just look at those coordinates. :o Check them in Hammer. I don't think that error message will help you. Seems to be bullshit to me.

You say that there is no brush 68 in you map. Than try this (it already worked for me once ;) ):

1.) Highlight your entire map and press Ctrl+C (COPY)
2.) Create a new map (probably by pressing Ctrl+N)
3.) Paste you map by pressing Ctrl+V (PASTE)
4.) Save your new map and try again

Hope this help.

Mehz15/04/2007 14:13

Ill try!

edit: that didnt work either :(

edit2: Im going to try with the Hammer compilers instead of ZHLT, and see what happens :)

Ok, than I would say there's definitely an error on your map.

I don't know how big your map is. You could try to remove half of the entities from you map. If the problem is still there, than one out of the other half must contain the entity that is causing the problem.

Maybe you can fasten this if you have at least a clue where the entity is located on your map.

dEMolite mapper15/04/2007 21:57

u typed the number in the wrong window.
u need to type the number in brush #: and not in: entity #:

Mehz15/04/2007 22:10

I did type it in Brush#

1.) is there an outdoor area in your map?
this problem is most of the time a result of wrong vertex manipulations / wrong usage of clipping tool.

2.) save the map, close it and open the .map (not the .rmf!) file of it!! there you may see what's going on :)

3.) if nothing works, isolate areas of your map one after another and compile them seperatly to find out where the mysterious brush is hidden :)

that's all i can tell you to solve your problem :)
