ok i dont know if it does this automaticly but if you add sounds and use custom .wad's do u have to set somthing up or will it load the stuff up on to a computer dling it from the server? if i need to set somthing up please link me to a tutorial thanks
do u mean -nowadtextures?
no like when u make a map and use a custom wad and u load it on ur server for ppl to down load and play do u need to set up anything in the .bsp file saying they need to dl that wad file, so that it makes them dl that too
-wadinclude wadname
when u wadinclude dont type .wad after the name
(If this is what you wanted to know)
Omg, you don't get what he asks for. :D
Look SugarDaddie. You need to provide a resource file! If your map uses custom files like:
- sounds
- sprites
- models
and stuff they are not automatically downloaded by the players/clients from the server. You have to provide a .RES (resource) file with your map. (Look into your CS 1.6 MAPS folder, maybe you already have some .RES files there.)
Unfortunately most of the mappers just piss off and don't care about this. If you download maps from the XJ web server this is no problem. But if you connect to the server and want to play a map with custom files, you will be kicked by the server saying you don't have a specific file.
The server won't check the BSP when you connect if there is any special file needed. You have to tell the server by providing the resource file with your map.
Edit: you can use the program ResGen to generate resource files. It is listed here: http://xtreme-jumps.eu/forum_viewtopic.php?81.34141 at the bottom of the Usefull programs category. (btw. don't care about what is written there underneath the link, it doesn't make the download faster :D it enables the download!)
