What caught my attention, aside from one case where he had a low speedloss deviation and another case where he had unusually high consecutive bhop speeds, was his scroll timing. Typically, players start scrolling a few frames before landing, but I noticed that outside rarely did. Instead, he scrolled right as he was landing, multiple times achieving perfect timing up to 20 times in a row. ... Notably, he also achieved 27 fog1s in a row during the check. In my opinion, this demonstrates that fogs in the game are not purely random."

If somebody with goldsrc engine knowledge wants to do some testing/research and prove that fogs are not so random as we thought they were imagine what a breakthrough that would be

IMO I dont think it'll be a breakthrough since nobody in the history of this game/engine managed to do what apparently only outside does. It would only be a fun fact, not a revolutionary gameplay style.

That is false, I replicated it in my very first and continuous attempts of deliberate effort and showed it in the discord. It’s not impossible, it’s unnatural, there is a big distinction. And he’s left handed so naturally he is weird

impressive stuff, somebody tell VertikO for him to start teaching his kid proper bhop technique in a timely manner

idk , for me what i'm doing is very comfortable and like idk naturally , the technique is - you starting sbj -> 5 full strafes, and at the end of last strafe you pressing ctrl and jump and just repeating this , like im using full airtime to get my strafes ideal with max gain of it , and in the result you done them in the right moment before u land

for me its very hard to start scrolling when im still doing strafes , firstly i done them or like last frames and then i start scroll+ctrl tap

He described it perfectly well tbf

Contrary to opinions of many, there is no randomness of FOGs with relation to scroll commands in game. What makes the timing fall inside a certain range is the human factor. The money question is where the human limits are.
