Dunno, 2-3 years ago maybe...
i started playin with this guy in my grade in the 5th grade...kinda funny since hes now mvp of both baseball and our football teams and probably will play in college. Bah! That couldve been me
1998 was the beta of halflife (counterstrike) ... so it can be true that stask0 play since 9years
I started 5years ago. I played offline at home and online by a friend :P i was 13 years old and i had fear that my parents notice, that i play it ^^ so i played by a friend and it was much more fun cause we played online.
I play since 2 years online, but i took much breaks and played the most of the time "kalonline" or "GuildWars" (MMORPGs -.-)

rinkon, i know someone in the philippines (i think) and their cybercafes still have 1.3. it's very possible scooter played 1.5 2 years ago. i started about 2 years ago.
I saw cs first time...hm...4-5 years ago when i visited a friend...
I played it myself ~3 years ago (met with friends i an internet-cafe where you could play it via lan 1 time each week).
2 Years ago i really started playing for a year or so but never became at good (still low)...
One year ago i played KZ first time and was addicted after 2mins :P

i don't even know how i started liking KZ. i used to surf quite a bit and some people i met in a server told me to follow them on some random IP. it was to a KZ server and i HATED it, but somehow i like it now. i honestly don't know what made me play KZ again after that first experience, but i'm happy i play now :D
tryed cs beta for the first time just when it got released for testing purpose at a local inet cafe (9 years ago?) was camping on those roofs in cs_assault like a mofo and thought it was very funny :D . But started to play daily around 2002-2003.

first played cs in 2000 that was beta 5.2 if I remember correctly.. until 2001 i only played with bots on local gameservers (modem4ever). then got isdn and played it online until 2002 when i got dsl.
2002 - 2004 was the time when i was most active. played top10 ESL Amateur Series 1. division. then there were several breaks like 2 - 4 month cause i was pissed of cheaters and pings and everything ^^
now I'm just playing it for fun and that's why im kz'ing too :)
