How to start recording HLTV with command? i need that if i type

!HLTVrecord cooldemo it starts recording cooldemo.
I know that you can start HLTV recording manual by typing this in console:

rcon_address hltvIP
rcon_port 27020
rcon record demoname

but i want that i can do it automatically with specified name.
oh and ofcourse also !HLTVstop - stops recording demo.

i think its not hard to do.. but i dont know how ^^

I looked into this a while ago.

And after the info i got, it's not possible. Unless you make a plugin or a script to do it.

If i understood it right, the rcon address/port is only usefull if you are connected to the HLTV server (as a spectator) and want to execute commands on the HLTV server.

mm i checked it on HLDS server, and it shows Invalid RCON password from IP: ********.. but i cant get what rcon password i have to type.

I noticed that aswell. You'll get the same error msg no matter what you do. I even copied the passwrod i set in HLTV into CS and got the same error msg, and vice versa. No luck either way.

No, the whole reason for having the rcon_address and rcon_port is for connecting rcon to a server/HLTV that you're not currently playing in. It's exactly the same as using something like HLSW.

bugsbunny is right this is impossible unless you are on the hltv. otherwise it wont work.

spermis25/08/2007 11:54
