FPS problems. - Kreedz

Hi there.

I've been experiencing lots of lag lately when i'm playing CS. It's not constant lag, but it happens from time to time, my FPS drops to around 30ish. Another thing that is weird is that i can play for a long time on a server without having any lag, but it can suddenly appear if i go on my lan server, or some other server.

I can easily play Medal of Honor Airborne at max settings @ 1600x1200 without feeling any lag. So it's not my computer.

I'm not doing anything now that i didn't do before.
So i'm wondering, what is the problem? I'm clueless atm :-/

my video cart is 8000 ge force but fps is 60 :(

did u turn v-sync off?
if not, then turn it off

Where is an option to turn v-sync off ?
I guess i v searched everywhere, but no luck...

I guess you have an nVidia card, right?
Well, if that's right, then go in to you graphic cards options. Find vertical sync, and turn it off.

i have 8600GT and nvidia control panel 1.4.13.09
when i allow advanced options, it is in 3D options > 3D control table > global options in the bottom half :)
i have it in czech language, so there could be some translation differences

i have nVidia 8600... my v-sync is off but still in some maps i can get 100 fps like in sn_beachcliff i have about 50~60 fps :(
