leakleakleak
i know the obvious tricks of boxing an area, loading a pointfile, checking the errors .txt file blah blah blah... but ive redone the walls to my map multiple times and cant seem to fix a leak. are there any mappers patient enough to take a look at my .rmf?
edit: hammer v3.5beta rocks my socks. found the leak. close?

I'll do it but first you should make sure there aren't any stray entities outside of the enclosed area.
make sure your map isn't too close to the outside of the grid, leave as much room as you can
make sure skybox is closed, etc ,etc
yeah, there arent. ive had that problem before though haha. i felt so stupid after i found it -.- you will? hm... msn or aim?
anyone down for some leak hunting? i know i really should try to find it myself, but i have been trying, and i feel ive overspent my time. maybe some possible methods that havent been mentioned much?
~ this is for a different map but i figured it was on topic and i posted this thread previously.
make sure .pts file is copied in compile options and try to compile ur map. then after it's done and the error comes up, click map->load point file. you should see a line that starts at some entity(the start of the line is bright, end - dark) and goes through the actual leak at some point. u should look for the area where the line is first seen on the outside of ur map. it's not 100% precise but it should give you some idea of where the leak is...
this error could also be caused by bad vertex manipulation... try deleting complex brushes or compiling sections of ur map at a time..
hope this helps :P
its a super long line and i have multiple leaks :( but ill try it!
