hmmm well, im "Ok" with it:D i just think it's good that they keep developing steam n stuff..but as for the interface it doesn't affect me at all except the fact that im not used to it:D old or new watever, cs runs on both:D

imo it's big bullshit
tried it in beta and i did it back then to normal steam cause i didn't like it.
now im sad to see that it is not beta and u can't chose if u want it or not.
well, i testet it also on my second computer. because my second computer is just an uber old computer (1700+ AMD, 256MB SD RAM, geeforce 2 mx 64MB, win2k) and i got some more fps problems there with the new steam compared with the old one.
what i mostly hate on new steam is:
1. the ingame community thing (u can turn that off in settings but then u haven't acc to friends ingame)
2. community thing = all day "xxx has added you to your friend list. allow or decline?
it has also some nice features fo example the ones which love to voice together when they are playing, they can use that now in steamfriends.
but anyway. overall i don't like it

14/09/2007 21:56I think valve is trying to position themselves as "the" content delivery system of gaming. (and maybe if that works, other applications) to do that, they're trying to build up the community as much as they can. They're basically trying to compete with xfire now. And they're doing a good job. The benefit they have over xfire is that they can tie in the games they sell to steam, like they have with CS and half life. They seem to be succeeding so far.
The downside is, that means we have to put up with them making steam into myspace/xfire. But it could, in the long run, be a really neat system, if there are any good competitors to steam.

I have a shitty laptop and all this does is add more lag and more fps drops. YAY FOR ME.
15/09/2007 00:10I hate it took a match 5 on 5 earlier this day and always when I was silent walking and checking the score with tab I got some ugly gay ass menu, and it didn't work to change the hotkey :/, also this phone ringing suck, Always when someone of my team was one left we had to be funny and call him with this steam friends thing :)
The worst is that now i can't add some steamers to friends list from server cause if i press player list so there all the players and unavailible to add :( Valve DIE !
