k demolite if you want to quote wikipedia: germany is the only country using dots(Germany (using dots (which denote ordinal numbering) as in “d.m.(yy)yy”, but most often "d. month (yy)yy"))
if you want to have another international order you have to use either / or - in between month, day and year:
mm/dd/yyyy
mm-dd-yyyy
