DooMiX, the crosshair gets bigger if you decrease your resolution, if you increase your resolution the crosshair becomes smaller.

I use 800x600.

the desktop resolution is affecting the fps in no way.
It simply doesnt matter.
When you start or quit cs, the screen is turning black and the computer changes the resolution and from this point, when you're back in windows, it does affect but not in cs ;)
