@fact.. i think it would be just wrong not to mention your jump at all.. pulsar can write (longjump block) for example..

I remember pre-strafing on the giga-block little ljs back in the day. It just helped me make them. Of course there wasn't even checkpoint plugins back then. But I mean it's pretty much impossible to do 240 block without a pre strafe.

+1, I actually think eDark is wrong about that.


eDark is wrong about this. bhoping on a lj/hj block is the same as long as you dont get effected by the acceleartion which should not happen if you do a normal pre. bhopping on a bhop block (i define a bhop block as a func_door which moves down on touching) and bhopping on ground which doesnt move has a huge difference. you usually jump of a bhop block when its already moved about 1 units down which makes you jump a lot shorter.


tested with script.. 2XX units on normal block and..
2XX - X units on bhop block(same script), so eDark is wrong about this
I can't say how much -X units exactly cuz of the speed of the block which is moving down but its more than 1 unit..

As far as I remember, long time ago I was watching 244 (maybe 245 too) LJ WR by OddYsseus, but cant really say 100% sure was he the first player who had done them.
