KZ-SCA tournament with 250$ in price!

KZ-SCANDINAVIA decided to start a Tournament with big money prices. It will start 1st of January 2008 and go on for 1 month. The principle will be that each week 2 maps will be choosen, one KZ and one BHOP. Then you the player will send your demos to the admins or upload it at the website with a special code that you have to write in-game before you kill yourself. The top10 times will get points, e.g:

#1(best time), 10 Points
#2, 9 Points
#3, 8 points
#4, 7 Points
#5, 6 Points
etc.....

If someone beats the worldrecord on a map they will get an additional +4 points.

After 1 month all the points will be counted and the TOP3 jumpers
with the most points wins money prices. A total of 250$ !!

Everybody can participate in this tournament ( don't have to be from scandinavia). It's not about beating WR's, just about getting the best time possible in 1 week for each map.

thats a very nice idea and i will participate for fun :] climbers-germany has as well a tournament started, but without money prices and only germans can take part. I am looking forward, who else will join. I think a lot and much progamer, who wanna earn some money :D

Is it always 1 climb and 1 bhop? It would be better imo if it was randomly chosen from options like: ez/med/hard/extreme/bhop. If it's always just 1 climb 1 bhop, it gives somewhat of an advantage to good bhoppers over climbers who like hard maps.

The maps will be choosen pretty randomly, 1 week it might be a hard map that the pro bhoppers cant even finish but the not so skilled bhopper finishes pretty easily. This is the most even way imo..

omilo one technical question:

-imagine WR is now 1:00 on certain map
-there will be like 2+ players pulling out
a better time than WR

Who will get a premium of +4 points?

imo would be good to make this clear (at least 4 fun)

Theres only one wr :)
so the one with the best time will ofc get the +4 points.

hmm.. imo both guys should get the +4 points, since they both pwned the actual record, but ofc its ur decision, just i this would be more fair imo :)

it´s very nice to see KZ_ at a new level,
since many people think kz is a waste of time,
because you can´t earn money.

i dont want to be stupid, but one more thing to fix:

"If you make a new world record you will be awarded with 4 extra points.
If two or more players beat the current world record, only the one with the best time will get the extra 4 points!"

-> imagine 2 players beat the WR with the SAME TIME...
both guys get +4? because now yes, and
the rule "the first come, first serve" seems to affect
only ranking points now, not the premium

so imo go this way ->

Iv4n, Yes we decided that if two players got WR with the same time the one that submited it first will get the +4 points.

the new record holder gets +4 and the second gets +2 (who's beaten a map record as well) the third again +2 :? It's not easy to beat records nowadays...
